The 3rd session at #IETFIndia2025 in Conference on Net Zero focused on Green Financing, examining the financial feasibility of funding a cleaner, greener future and the transition towards Net Zero. The discussion covered emerging corporate sustainability financing and highlighted green bonds as a crucial financial instrument. As architecture students, we delve into the works of Le Corbusier, the visionary architect behind Chandigarh’s master plan. His contributions to modern architecture are profound, and one of his most significant projects in India is the Mill Owners Association Building in Ahmedabad. I had the opportunity to visit this remarkable structure, which stands as his first project in Gujarat. This building is not just an architectural landmark but also a recurring topic in NATA and JEE Paper 2 exams, making it an essential study for aspiring architects. Also known as the Ahmedabad Textile Mills Association (ATMA) Building, this masterpiece exemplifies Corbusier’s principles of modernism, featuring bold concrete forms, brise-soleil (sun breakers) for climate control, and a seamless integration of light and ventilation. It embodies his vision of functional yet aesthetically powerful spaces.
