The Digital Public Goods Alliance Secretariat has launched the "2024 State of the DPG Ecosystem" report which highlights the major milestones and activities undertaken by its 40+ members to advance discovery, development, use and investment in #DigitalPublicGoods. Key programs and initiatives seeded by the EkStep Foundation in 2024 were; Centre for Open Societal Systems - COSS with IIIT-B (COSS aids large scale societal transformation within countries by helping them adopt DPI), Open Networks for Employment & Skilling Transformation (ONEST aims to empower 500 M+ young Indians in the areas of learning and earning), The Assisted Language and Math Learning initiative (AXL helps young learners develop fluency in language and math through AI-assisted tools), Global DPI Adoption (accelerates DPI adoption by lowering the barriers to adoption), the People+ai program (which focuses on discovering, demonstrating and disseminating population-scale AI use cases in India) and the Bachpan Manao mission (a societal mission which celebrates abundance, growth, and play in a child’s first 3000 days). The National Education Policy 2020, emphasizes the need for play-based learning for children in their formative years and the Bachpan Manao Mission, seeded by the EkStep Foundation along with NDTV, brought this conversation to the national stage on the 23rd of February, 2025 for 2 hours. Launched by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on the 19th October, the “Karmayogi Saptah – National Learning Week”, is being held from the 19th of October to the 14th of November 2024, marking a significant milestone in India's mission to build a responsive, competent, and future-ready civil service. At the Karmayogi Saptah, National Learning Week Valedictory Ceremony, in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, Dr. Jitendra Singh, (Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions,Minister of State in the Department of Atomic Energy & Minister of State in the Department of Space) said, “The Karmayogi Saptah initiative is aligned with our national goals, fostering a unified 'One Government' approach. It is about ensuring that each civil servant is better equipped to serve the nation and contribute to the realisation of Atmanirbhar Bharat," The Karmayogi Saptah received an extraordinary response, with a collective commitment from all ministries, departments, and Civil Service Training Institutes. The event saw a total of 45.4 lakh course enrollments, 32.5 lakh course completions, and an astounding 38.5 lakh hours of learning. Through the Karmayogi Saptah, participants engaged in seminars, webinars, and collaborative discussions. The Minister himself attended a webinar led by industry leaders Nandan Nilekani and Shankar Maruwada (Co-founder & CEO, EkStep Foundation) on the topic of Digital Public Infrastructure. He also participated in a "Samuhik Charcha" with 33 ministries, where the focus was on leveraging advanced technologies to create a more agile, responsive administration.
