About us
Established in 1927, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is the oldest, largest and the apex business chamber in India. Our history is closely interwoven with India's independence struggle and now with her emergence as one of the most rapidly growing economies globally. FICCI has contributed to this historical process by encouraging debate, articulating the private sector’s views and influencing policy. A non-government, not-for-profit organisation, FICCI is the voice of India’s business and industry. FICCI draws its membership from the corporate sector, both private and public, including SMEs and MNCs; FICCI enjoys an indirect membership of over 2,50,000 companies from various regional chambers of commerce. FICCI provides a platform for sector specific consensus building, networking and as the first port of call for Indian industry and the international business community.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s decision to ease the policy rate is a timely and forward-looking step and we hope that the banking sector would follow through on this cue and a lowering of lending rates will be seen. Further, while RBI has maintained a neutral stance with regard to Monetary Policy, the indication towards a more flexible interpretation of inflation targeting sets the stage for further rate cuts over the near term. The Union Budget 2025-26 announced last week has laid a strong foundation for investment-led growth with an emphasis on manufacturing, MSMEs and infrastructure. Today’s rate cut complements these measures, lending further support to India’s growth outlook: FICCI President Mr Harsha Vardhan Agarwal. Read more at https://lnkd.in/dPASAs8S #FICCISpeaks

FICCI reposted this
It was a pleasure to represent the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) at the MoU signing with Expo City Dubai, in my capacity as the chair of FICCI's Middle East Council. On the sidelines of Cities in Action Forum 2025, we formalised an agreement that will see FICCI be one of the partners of the Asia Pacific Cities Summit (APCS) & Mayors' Forum in October, one of the premier global events in the space of urban planning and smart cities. I had the privilege of signing this important agreement with Nadia Verjee, Executive Director, Global Initiatives and Advisory of Expo City Dubai. #Dubai #UAE #India #ExpoCityDubai #FICCI #UrbanPlanning #Sustainability #SmartCities
