We're thrilled to announce that #TeamIDEA has been selected for the Marketing Accelerator for Aggregator Enterprise (MAAE), a transformative initiative orchestrated by the visionary trio of Dhriiti - The Courage Within, Jhini Learning, and GAME - Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship Entrepreneurship! 🎉 Our dedicated team members, Manjuri Hazarika and Akshita R. were privileged to immerse themselves in the inaugural cohort. The three-day intensive workshop was a crucible of knowledge-sharing, where women-led nonprofits like ours were empowered to refine our marketing strategies and elevate our brand identities. A cornerstone of the program was a comprehensive branding exercise that challenged us to delve deep into the essence of our organization. By meticulously identifying our core brand values and meticulously defining our objectives, we were able to crystallize our unique identity as a Social Aggregator Enterprise. This newfound clarity will undoubtedly serve as a compass as we navigate the complex landscape of marketing. The program culminated with a detailed Enterprise Diagnostics and Program Conclusion session, where the seasoned experts from e-commerce giants imparted information on onboarding processes and best practices. Their guidance has equipped us with the tools and knowledge necessary to seamlessly integrate new partners and optimize our operations. We are immensely grateful for the opportunity to be selected and participate in this extraordinary program. Sarthak Trust marked its 16th foundation day on July 26th at World Trade Centre, Mumbai with a grand celebration. The event highlighted the trust's unwavering commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities. With a focus on accessibility, empowerment, and success, Sarthak continues to be a beacon of hope for the disabled community. Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Pradhan, co-founder of IDEA and Founder of eKalakaar, joined the celebration as a panelist for inclusive He emphasized the need for inclusive development model, highlighting the fact that 'as disability advocates, we are not selling inability'. He also focused on identifying the potential and strengths of individuals with disabilities. Dr. Sanjaya cited a case where a hearing-impaired person successfully replaced multiple workers in a noisy factory. #IDEAOpines Is Budget 2024 really inclusive? The recent budget highlighted inclusion as a priority, it lacked concrete plans to address the needs of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). The current "one-size-fits-all" approach to education and healthcare fails to address the unique needs of PwDs. Currently, less than 5% of PwDs have access to higher education, limiting their opportunities for social and economic mobility. The budget allocation for the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DePwD) remains stagnant at Rs 1,225 crore, constituting a mere 0.025% of the total budget. This meager increase of Rs 12 lakh from the previous fiscal year is insufficient to bridge the significant gap in resources needed to empower PwDs. At the Inclusive Divyangjan Entrepreneur Association (IDEA), we are committed to empowering PwDs and fostering their inclusion in all aspects of society. We urge the concerned authorities to: - Allocate a significantly increased budget towards disability inclusion initiatives. - Develop targeted programs that address the specific needs of PwDs in education, healthcare, and employment. - Foster collaboration with organizations like IDEA to bridge the gap in resources and expertise.
