    Stuck in sales limbo?!!! There’s a hidden reason your calls aren't converting 🔍💼 This is especially true if the lead source is: 👉 Outbound, 👉 You have a great first/second call, 👉 And then there’s radio silence. The reason is - “Low intent* Intent is a tricky beast in the sales process, always a bit hard to understand, but hardest in Outbound. Unlike inbound leads, where someone fills out a form or requests a demo (clear intent), outbound is a different game. You’re reaching out cold, so intent isn’t declared, it’s inferred. You might ask- Then why do they do the calls? It’s the same reason you go to the mall when you have no need for anything. ✅ To window shop. ✅ Know what’s out there. ✅ In a rare case, you actually run into something you need, and if the cost barrier is low, you buy it. ❌ But more often than not, you won’t buy that great sweater or those incredible coolers you tried on! Now, how do we infer intent in the Outbound process? ⁉️ ✅ Most often, with triggers. It won’t get you all the way through, but intent triggers will greatly improve the quality of your deals. Let’s look at this with an example: You’re selling recruitment software that is industry agnostic. Who’s most likely to buy? 👉 A company you found on LinkedIn that fit your industry and size criteria. 👉 A company that fits your industry and size criteria, but also just announced a major hiring spree. Obviously, the second one. This is the kind of thing that indicates intent, and it varies depending on what you’re selling. There are several intent triggers you could look for: 🔥 Company growth – New funding, expansion, aggressive hiring. (They’re scaling and need better solutions.) 🔄 Leadership changes – A new VP of Sales or CMO could mean fresh budgets and openness to new strategies. 💰 Budget cycles – Companies make big purchase decisions at the start of new quarters or fiscal years. 😡 Dissatisfaction signals – A prospect complaining about a competitor online? A negative review on a third party site? That’s your window. 🤝 Partnerships or acquisitions – New integrations or market shifts often open doors for complementary solutions. The key to better qualification? Stack multiple triggers together. 💡A new VP of Sales? Interesting. ✅A new VP of Sales + actively hiring SDRs? Even better. 🔥 A new of Sales + hiring SDRs + just raised $10M? Now we’re talking. The difference between great outbound and wasting time on endless follow-ups is knowing clearly where intent is. #prospecting #outbound #salestips #leadqualification #intent
