Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Hon'ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy, inaugurated the National Training Programme on "Biogas Production, Power Generation, and Compressed Biogas (CBG) Technology" from March 11-13, 2025, hosted by IIT Delhi. This programme is organized under the aegis of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. The three-day training aims to provide participants with in-depth knowledge and hands-on exposure to biogas production, power generation, CBG enrichment, and relevant policy frameworks. 🌱 Celebrating 6 Years of PM KUSUM 🌞 On this day, 8th March 2019, the PM KUSUM scheme was launched by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, marking the beginning of a journey that has seen tremendous growth. Just like a baby, PM KUSUM faced initial challenges, but today, it’s thriving and achieving its full potential. Objectives: ->Decentralized grid-connected solar plants on farmers' land. ->Standalone off-grid solar water pumps. ->Solarization of existing grid-connected agriculture pumps and feeder level solarization. Key Achievements: ->Over 9.8 lakh farmers benefited. Adding 1 lakh farmers every month. ->7.3 lakh solar pumps installed. ->431 MW of solar power plants established. -> Providing assured day time power to farmers. -> States done the tendered of more than 43 GW and issued LOA of 21 MW. -> Installation is being taken at speed and scale by the states.
