Head of Quality & Product Development for PM3 - Project Pragati
About the Company: Naini Papers is a leading manufacturer of writing, printing, and copier paper in India, with a production capacity of 130,000 tons per annum. With the new machine (PM-3, Project Pragati), Naini will double this capacity and venture into new products suitable for flexible packaging and other coated paper applications. Job Description:
· Qualification: B.Tech / Masters in Pulp & Paper.
· Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in paper industry and should also have minimum 5-10 years in Fine Coated or Uncoated Papers, including 5 years in a similar role.
· CTC Budget: Competitive, based on experience & qualifications; among the best in the industry.
· Location: Kashipur, Uttarakhand.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement QMS to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
· Oversee QC processes, including inspections, testing, and audits.
· Lead initiatives to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
· Lead the research and development of new products, from concept to market launch.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and production, to drive innovation.
· Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities for new products.
· Oversee the design, testing, and refinement of new products.
· Develop and execute strategic plans for quality improvement and product innovation.
· Manage budgets and resources for quality and product development projects.
· Lead a department of 20-25 team members, including QA, QC, R&D, and product development, overseeing activities from stock preparation to the supply of finished goods to customers.
· Enhance team efficiency by creating a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Requisite Knowledge, Skill, Attitude:
· Quality Management Systems & Product Development process
· Expertise in paper manufacturing processes, including pulp and pigment paper coating
· ERP Systems like SAP for managing operations and data
· Project Management, Analytical and Problem-solving
· Process improvement skills in implementing continuous improvement methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, and TPM
