I’m pleased to share that our exhibition, "The Sikh Empire (1710-1849) Perspectives by International Artists and Authors," was recently hosted for two days, 15th and 16th August, at the Shaheed-e-azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Museum, Khatkar Kalan. The event was inaugurated by Anmol Gagan Maan, the Culture and Tourism Minister of Punjab, who acknowledged the efforts of our entire team of interns. Her positive feedback underscored the significance of preserving and sharing our rich cultural heritage. Over 2000 people visited the exhibition during these two days, reflecting the strong interest and engagement with this pivotal period in history. A special thank you to Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, Deputy Commissioner Nawanshahr, for his vital support in facilitating the exhibition at this esteemed museum. We are planning to bring this exhibition to various cities in the USA in the coming months, allowing a broader audience to engage with and appreciate the rich history of the Sikh Empire. Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited and supported our efforts. #CulturalHeritage #PanjabDigitalLibrary #MuseumExhibition Panjab Digital Library Bilaval Kaur Bani Kaur

As part of our internship program at the Panjab Digital Library, I am thrilled to share the success of our recently curated exhibition titled "The Sikh Empire (1710-1849) Perspectives by International Artists and Authors", which was held at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Chandigarh. Working alongside a dedicated team of interns - Bilaval Kaur, Bani Kaur, Jodha Singh, Gani Kaur, Ilahe Kaur, and Rubbi Singh - we aimed to provide a comprehensive view of Punjab during the Sikh Raj, celebrating its rich history beyond the boundaries of religion, caste, and creed. The response has been overwhelming, with over 3000 visitors in just three days! Due to popular demand, we extended the exhibition from its initial two-day schedule (17th and 18th July) to an additional day. We were honored to welcome several notable figures to our exhibition, including: - Jyoti Malhotra (Editor in Chief - The Tribune) - Caroline Rowett (British Deputy High Commissioner, Chandigarh) - NPS Randhawa (Deputy Commissioner Nawanshahr) Their presence and support meant a lot to us and highlighted the importance and impact of our work. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited and encouraged our efforts. This experience has been incredibly enriching and has reaffirmed the significance of preserving and sharing our heritage. #SikhEmpire #PanjabDigitalLibrary #CulturalHeritage
