Recently, riidl Somaiya Vidyavihar University hosted a graduation ceremony where Fablab innovators came together for a unique blend of learning, networking, and innovation. Beyond celebrating our graduates' achievements, we explored impactful ways for Fablabs to unite, address local challenges, host community events, and build partnerships that drive meaningful change. We were honored to have Ms. Pradnya Shindekar, Supernode for FabLabs, India, as our chief guest for this special occasion. The Fab Academy program imparts essential principles and practical applications of digital fabrication. Originally launched as an outreach initiative by MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms, it provides students with hands-on skills in fabrication labs and has since expanded into a global network of more than 1,600 labs worldwide.
