Thanks to our advisory board member Sangeeta Pikale for giving RNisarg Foundation the opportunity to present the various green practices every healthcare provider can implement to mitigate climate change. At RNisarg founded by doctors we believe that Healthcare providers can contribute in both ways ; 1. Reduce their carbon footprints ( reduce the biomedical waste , use eco friendly disinfectants, judiciously prescribe medicines, promote Plant based diet) 2. Conduct community outreach programs ( menstrual waste reduction , household medicine take back support) All the above initiatives have been initiated by the NGO and the results are very encouraging. It’s time to wake up and take small steps which yield maximum results. We are excited to share, implement and discuss all these initiatives with all the stakeholders working in the space of Healthcare.
