From Research to Realization: #UnionBudget2025 Transforming #deeptech, AI and startups! The Union Budget 2025 has unveiled a bold roadmap for India’s startup ecosystem, deep tech sector, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. With a strong push for innovation, private sector collaboration, and digital infrastructure, the government has reaffirmed its vision to position India as a global technology powerhouse. The Department of Space has been allocated Rs 13,416.20 crore for the fiscal year, marking a notable increase over previous budgets and reinforcing the government’s commitment to growing India’s space ambitions. A key highlight is the ₹20,000 crore #investment to boost private sector-led research and innovation, along with the establishment of a Deep Tech Fund. Amalgamating the potentials of #GeospatialTechnologies with #GeM! 🎆 SIA-India and the Government e Marketplace (GeM) have signed a transformative Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote the #integration of space-tech #products, geospatial #data, and related services into Government decision making and bringing these #procurements to the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal. GeM's inclusion of space data and services will #streamlineprocurement with predefined criteria, online ordering, and integrated payments, making it more accessible despite the high costs of space tech and geospatial services. The platform enhances #transparency through centralized operations and advanced analytics, ensuring #faircost comparisons and helping government agencies get the best value. It also supports compliance measures and fosters #accountability.
