As part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2024, a Gram Sabha was organized near SECI’s Rajnandgaon Project in Chattisgarh. During the session, the villagers were apprised of Preventive Vigilance measures and made aware of the menace of Corruption. This was organized under the purview of VAW 2024 with the theme ‘Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity’. The Gram Panchayat and other attendees also took the Integrity Pledge on the occasion.

Today, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) bid a heartfelt farewell to Secretary Shri. Bhupinder S. Bhalla on his superannuation. His leadership has been nothing short of transformative, propelling MNRE to unprecedented heights and leaving an indelible mark on the clean energy sector. Under his stewardship, Secretary Bhalla played a pivotal role in driving domestic manufacturing and achieving a significant milestone by enabling bidding 50 GW/year, accelerating India’s ambitious 500 GW renewable energy target. He was instrumental in securing numerous critical bilateral agreements and played a key role in leading the Energy Transitions Working Group at the G20 India, ensuring that MNRE was firmly established on the global stage. His unwavering dedication to translating the Honorable Prime Minister’s vision of a sustainable, green future into a reality has had a profound impact on India’s renewable energy landscape. He highlighted India’s achievements to the world through meticulously organised, International Green Hydrogen Conference, RE-Invest, RE-TAP to which he provided personal leadership and inspiration. Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), a Navratna CPSE, celebrated its 13th Foundation Day on 20th September 2024. The company hosted a cultural evening that was graced by Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Shri Pralhad Joshi and Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Power, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy and Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways Shri Shripad Yesso Naik. The event was attended by Shri Bhupinder Singh Bhalla, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Power and Senior officials from various Central, State Ministries and Departments, Union Territories, Regulatory Authorities, DISCOMs, Developers, Financial Institutions and Public sector entities. A Stakeholders’ Meet was also organised by SECI earlier in the day for seeking feedback and perspective on ‘Roadmap of the RE sector and Action Plan to Achieve Targets’. A Media Interaction was also held at SECI’s Corporate Office wherein Shri R P Gupta, CMD along with senior management officials highlighted the achievements/milestones of the organisation and the way forward for the company.
