Key highlights of his speech: ➡️ Agriculture has always been the backbone of India, so any development in this sector turns out to be beneficial for the nation. ~18% of GDP is contributed by agriculture in our country. ➡️ During the Union Budget 2024-2025, there is a special focus on the implementation of Agristack & It will bring over 6 crores farmers under the formal land registry system. This initiative of bringing all the stakeholders of this ecosystem under Agristack will create numerous data points. ➡️ Data will help to create various tech solutions depending upon the varied environmental conditions of India ➡️ Technology can play a vital role in eliminating the inefficiencies in crop yields. About us
STPI - Software Technology Parks of India is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, established in 1991, with a mandate to promote software exports from the country. Today, with 11 jurisdictional directorates and 65 centers, of which 57 centres are in Tier II & Tier III cities, STPI has expanded its presence across the country. STPI has ensured the growth of software exports and generated employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. STPI facilitates IT/ITES/ESDM industry by providing single window clearance services, world-class internet connectivity, state-of-the-art incubation & other infrastructure services, which aim to encourage, promote, and boost software exports. To strengthen the tech startup ecosystem in the country, STPI has launched 24 Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in emerging technology domains such as IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Gaming, Animation & Visual Effects, Data Science & Analytics, FinTech, AgriTech, MedTech, Autonomous Connected Electric & Shared (ACES) Mobility, ESDM, Industry 4.0, Drone, and Efficiency Augmentation. STPI has also implemented Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) in 12 Tier II locations across India viz. Agartala, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mohali, Patna, and Vijayawada to realize the vision of National Policy on Software Products (NPSP).
