Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India has been recognized as a Zero Project Awardee 2025!🌎 The Zero Project is a global, research-driven initiative that—following a call for nominations and an extensive selection process—awards exemplary solutions for their innovation, impact, and scalability. More than 350 experts, with and without disabilities, were involved in the selection process, with this year’s research centered on Employment and ICT. A total of 522 nominations from 90 countries were submitted for an Award. We’re honored to see our work highlighted among global innovations that make a meaningful impact. As part of this recognition, we will present our innovation at the Zero Project Conference 2025, taking place from March 5-7 at the United Nations Office in Vienna. On March 20th, TRRAIN turned Women’s History Month celebration into a day of confidence, self-care, and joy! The incredible retail employees at Shoppers Stop’s makeup corner pampered our amazing women with a special makeover session because every woman deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and unstoppable. Hubbali, in Karnataka came together to walk for inclusion, diversity, and empowerment! The TRRAIN Inclusive Walkathon, supported by Inorbit Malls (India) Pvt. Ltd. Malls on March 21st, brought together over 520 youth from the TRRAIN PANKH Programme, TRRAINHer Ascent, and the YUVA Programme. They joined hands with Para-Olympians and Persons with Disabilities to advocate for equal opportunities. Flagged off by Kannada actor Chetan Kumar Ahima and esteemed dignitaries, the walkathon spread awareness with powerful slogans and unwavering spirit. A milestone moment in Hubli! We celebrated a Mass Graduation Day for two TrainHer Ascent (THA) batches and the first-ever Yuva graduates, a new initiative empowering young men from marginalised sectors. With 100 graduates and 25 fresh trainees from Guru Skills, Raksha Foundation, and Sankalpa Foundation, this was more than a ceremony, it was a launchpad for brighter futures. Born with a speech and hearing impairment, Prathamesh Ramjinandan Gulve grew up in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune, watching his father toil as a farmer while his mother managed their home. School was a constant struggle, lessons moved too fast, and words felt like a puzzle he couldn't solve. While his friends secured jobs and built their futures, Prathamesh felt stuck, weighed down by rejections and self-doubt. He longed to support his parents, to stand on his own feet, but every failed attempt only deepened his despair. His solace was the cricket field, where for a few hours, he could outrun his worries and feel free. Everything changed when he discovered the TRRAIN Pankh Programme meant for Persons with Disabilities. Encouraged by patient trainers, he learned essential workplace skills and, more importantly, found belief in himself. The day he secured a job at Big Basket as a Packing Associate was a moment of triumph. Holding his first paycheck, he thought of the nights filled with doubt and the quiet battles he had fought.
