Vedanta Spark, committed to bringing cutting edge technology and innovation through startup engagement, that positively impacts volume, cost and ESG, organised a session with ESL Steel Limited team. The workshop brought together nearly 100 participants from ESL’s Integrated Steel Plant facility at Bokaro and 5+ innovative start-ups. The start-ups brought forth solutions ensuring significant production volume increases, cost savings and EBITDA enhancement. Almost 100 projects were proposed and 40 were shortlisted for conducting pilots at ESL under the banner of Vedanta Spark Program. The workshop was led by Ashish Gupta - CEO ESL, Anand Dubey - CFO ESL, Ravish Sharma - COO ESL, along with Amitesh Sinha - VP & Head of Vedanta Spark. The team brainstormed on how technology can create positive impact across the value chain including EBITDA. They also highlighted the importance of leveraging ESL’s data to identify business challenges and generate actionable insights and enable decision making. The team emphasized the goal of achieving greater efficiency and productivity by implementing innovative technologies with the support of innovative and agile startups. We're excited to share insights from our Spark Workshop held on 19th & 20th July at our WeWork Bangalore office. This dynamic two-day event was headed by Viraj Didwania - Chief Strategy Officer at Vedanta Spark; Vamshi Guntha - Advisor to Vedanta Spark; and Amitesh Sinha - VP & Head of CVC & Spark at Vedanta Group. The workshop revolved around sparking innovation and scaling our startup initiatives, with a key focus on enhancing volume and reducing costs, emphasizing the importance of leveraging advanced technologies such as AI/ML, robotics, drones, and automation.
