A cancer diagnosis can bring a flood of emotions, appointments and big decisions that are more than most people can manage alone. That’s where care navigators come in, helping patients find their way through our fragmented health care system. Yet barriers, such as lack of funding, have limited the scope and sustainability of these programs. Writing in the AJMC - The American Journal of Managed Care’s Evidence-Based Oncology, Evolent experts describe the key pieces of a scalable, comprehensive navigation program and how new technologies, reimbursement mechanisms and ways of thinking can help to make it possible today. Just returned from an amazing trip to Pune, where the Evolent Application Engineering teams are generating innovative ideas, building high-quality solutions and delivering true business value. The camaraderie and enthusiasm across all teams were truly inspiring. And, as usual, hospitality was off the charts. A special thank you to Manish Singh, Charlotte Moonjely, Gazala Sayyed, Vineeth raj, Goutam Chatterjee, Sonali Thakur, Milind Inamdar, Amit Jadhav and Sachin Sonawane for a weekend excursion to the astonishing Karla caves, Lonavala and Tamhini Ghat mountain drives with breathtaking views, and a stop at the lake of Mulshi dam. It was a fantastic day of which I will have a lasting memory. I may have even learned a few new dance moves on the trip ;-) I am looking forward to seeing what innovative ideas the teams come up with next!

The infinity trap - Productivity can’t beat infinity Richard medcalf explains ,you will never finish your infinite task list–no matter how much more efficient you become. Richard identifies four opportunity areas to find more strategic time: tactics, influence, mindset, and environment.
