A center for the creation of cross-border experiences and architectural office

About us

Not only is space considered as an expressive existence, but also a natural phenomenon with a dynamic nature. Humans will be aroused facing places that provide cross-border experiences, even in dreams, because the place can dominate human imagination so that it could give meaning to itself. Our concept in buildings and architectural spaces with such an approach is to create a work of art with a different perspective, mission, and values that we have considered for ourselves. In this approach, we face a double or even multiple experience. On the one hand, creative and interactive buildings are designed, built, and executed. On the other hand, the audience of the place - as the context - discovers a new meaning by mixing their philosophy and life experiences. Referring to the book The Pleasure of Text by Roland Barthes, Ferraro suggests that urban contexts should be more playful and radical in this field. Therefore, the assumed pattern of narration such as ordering events in the design and construction of new buildings is used even in a reversed manner; defamiliarizing routines, breaking conventional contracts, and inviting the audience to reconsider the space-time field. In this way, diversification leading to differentiation is possible. Otherwise, today’s places cannot differentiate themselves from the past and won’t remain in memories.

Mother is a villa in the mountain "It is the experience of a sense of belonging and democracy" ◼ In modern societies, more emphasis is paid to social mother than Mother Nature. Flexibility, rejection of contracts, leveling, lack of supervision and control, and distancing are visible features in this position. Spacing, either in literature or architecture, allows rethinking. Based on this, I as the subject can see the object, and I as the object, can see the subject. These games are due to spacing. Spacing is a modern possibility; we can distinguish between the public and private spheres. In contemporary society, if the mother is a symbol of compassion, she is no longer the symbol of violence and punishment. The possibility of distancing leads to rethinking and they both are modern ideas. ◼ Mother is designed in the mountainous area of Anbaran in Mashhad. The surroundings and the lower area of the villa are covered with Poplar tree trees. The mother and the four children of this family wanted a dual space. They wanted a sense of belonging to the core of the family, which is the mother, as well as independence and safe attachment in the space so that they can separate a space for family reunion and a space for games and entertainment. ◼ Having two fixed and moving parts was the approved design for this concept. The movable part of the villa (child) rotates around 120 degrees and spaces itself from the mother's body, however, leaves its footprint on the mother's body. This rotation creates an independent building while providing the possibility of using light and view for young children. In a symmetrical and interconnected state, the enclosed form ensures the security of the building. This villa also reflects the philosophy of secular humanism and democracy. ◼ Location: A Mountainous Villa in Poplar Valley, Anbaran, Mashhad Timing: In the Concept Phase Client: Private Sector Type of Land Use: Residential Concept of the Project: Mother #ondoffice #cross_border_experiences #architecturedesign info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com

Theater and dining hall of Neishabur Medical University "A temporal experience of place" ◼ This project is designed based on time as the most basic theme of Khayyam's mindset and in line with the concept of flexibility in the dimension of architecture. The change, fluidity, and replacement of Khayyam’s quality-generating layers over time are in line with the quality of architecture. Khayyam’s timing, in his thought and works, has an intertemporal relationship so that such a dynamic structure has a clear connection between the details and the concept of the structure. ◼ Khayyam considered time a quality of how it is perceived and different from mental time. He has a dynamic and active view of time that does not show boredom. Inspired by these intellectual aspects, the flexibility of the structure is to adapt and have a two-way relationship with architecture and man. Spaces that take their inspiration from past architecture and with the presence of humans have a different meaning and provide a chain interaction of places and times ( gone or yet to come), from which the concept of flexibility is born. ◼ The concept of the flexible and cross-border structure of Khayyam’s timing emphasizes quality, which is a crucial element of making change. Although the initial inspiration for this design is from the form and geometry of tiles and calligraphy in Khayyam's tomb; it achieved a timeless experience of the place through change and modern style. In the design process, this has reached a proper dialogue with the design of Atar Tomb, which is adjacent to Khayyam's Tomb and was created by Hooshang Seyhon, a prominent Iranian architect. ◼ Location: Medical University of Neishabur City Project Timing: Will finish designing soon Employer: Medical University of Neishabur Art director: Mohsen Saraaji Concept and design team: Mohammad Hassan Daneshvar, Sara Salamat Post-production: Jawad Saberi Site and media support: Zahra Mohammadpoor, Faezeh Abadi Art review: Metanat Moheb #ondoffice #cross_border_experiences #architecturedesign info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com

Farabazi Recreational & Sport Theme Park ◼ At Ondo, inspired by the concepts of Metaverse and Parallel Universes, we designed Farabazi Indoor Theme Park (located in Ghahramanan Amusement Park) in an area of nearly 5000 square meters. ◼ Metaverse means: "beyond the universe”. And the Aurora carries a trace of myths and legends. It creates stunning scenes of light and color and invites us to discover the mystery of existence where the Aurora - the ultimate virtual reality experience - is a way to enjoy the beauty of the Northern Lights without traveling to faraway places. ◼ Such an immersive and interactive experience of the reflection of invisible forces in virtual reality is provided in the Farabazi Complex. The transcendence and stepping into the vast expansion of consciousness and excellence have been made real here. ◼ The employer: Ghahramanan Amusement Park of Mashhad Art director: Mohsen Saraaji The team of team Concept, Design and Construction: Sara Salamat, Javad Saberi, Mohammad Hassan Daneshvar, Alireza Bakhshi, Metanat Mohebbi, Morteza Gerami Website and media support: Zahra Mohammadpour, Faezeh Abadi #ondoffice #cross_border_experiences #architecturedesign info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com

Kish resort and amusement park ◼ This project was formed aimed at designing and building a theme and amusement park in Kish Island based on native identity of the region. Using the most up-to-date design and the world's executive knowledge of theme parks and choosing the concept of "pirates", it started in 2019 based on the request of Kish Parsis Zarmehar Co. in an area of 4 hectares. The project is under construction with cooperation of more than fifty experts and top technicians of our country. ◼ Building an amusement park based on stories and narratives is a new thing in Iran, but not in other parts of the world. The main challenge in such projects is to bridge the story world to the outside world as well as executing it. In projects of this nature, which are supposed to reach execution through narration, the interdisciplinary approach is a good option to achieve the best answer; therefore, during different meetings held with clients, we concluded to have a think tank of various specialties and ideas. The think tank, which had a story policy council, included various specialties and roles such as writers, poets, art directors, architects, philosophers, theater artists, clients and their representatives. The theoretical foundations of the project were defined under five general paths of description, analysis, criticism, model and example in the think tank. After hours of discussion, the basic concepts and characters were set and two stories were discussed in parallel. #ondoffice #cross_border_experiences #architecturedesign info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com

Family recreation and entertainment center of Kish Island "Runs like a diamond in the elusive mirror of the river" ◼ The sea breeze and the smell of salt and sand are accompanied by the delicate aroma of diamonds. The waves hit the shore and their rhythm reflects the diamond's pulse, as if they were inseparable. It is the stable power of the night and the day, which shines its light on sea and land. This is a treasure. ◼ The Family recreation and entertainment center of Kish Island (FEC) with the diamond concept is a cross-border creative experience in architecture to depict the timeless elegance of this precious gemstone. ◼ When the visitors arrive at the structure, they would be surrounded by a world of sparkling surfaces, sharp angles, and dazzling light that evoke the brilliance and majesty of a diamond. ◼ This complex was designed on a land of 40000 square meters in 2022 in the Ando office, the center for creating cross-border experiences and architecture. Up-to-date materials, lighting design, knowledge of theme park design, and the combination of rides and high-tower gaming systems are some highlights of the project. ◼ Location: Kish Island Project Timing: Completed Art director: Mohsen Saraaji Concept and design team: Mohammad Hassan Daneshvar, Sara Salamat, Jawad Saberi Site and media support: Zahra Mohammadpoor, Faezeh Abadi Art review: Metanat Mohebi #ondoffice #cross_border_experiences #architecturedesign info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com

Food Court & Theme Food of City Star ◼ The overall concept of the City Star project is based on the idea that all humans, in a wise and collective partnership, decide to leave planet Earth. This is something that will happen in the future due to various issues. Over the years, they have chosen a replacement planet for Earth to live on, and have also built a star ship that travels at the speed of light. Going to that planet, given that they have to leave the solar system, is an adventurous interstellar journey that can take centuries or even centuries. In other words, the star ship has all the amenities, safety, and smart features that generations can live in during the journey and until they reach their destination. ◼ In this star ship, the food court is a place of convergence of arts. Humans need arts to survive and thrive, to refine their soul and spirit, to find peace, and to experience comfort for a moment away from the vague events of life. Naturally, it is necessary for humans to be exposed to the phenomenon of art during the course of this star ship to reach a relative peace and also to take selected works of art on Earth to the destination planet. ◼ These arts, including painting, illustration, sculpture, element, arrangement, video art, performance art, etc., in conjunction with the art of cooking (in accordance with the functionality of the food court) can meet all the material and psychological needs of the passengers of the star ship (visitors of the City Star). ◼ Location: Mashhad, Sepahd tourist area Timeline: Design is complete Art director: Mohsen Saraji Concept, design and construction team: Samira Tousi, Ali Hataminejad, Sara Salamat, Mohammadhasan Daneshvar, Javad Saberi, Alireza Bakhshi, Morteza Grami Website and media: Zahra Mohammadpour, Faezeh Abadi #ondoffice #cross_border_experiences #architecturedesign info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com

"Ruk" has a golden collar. (a giant and strong bird in old legendary stories) Legends begin with creation. Although in the interpretation of the myths and legends of each nation, the circumstances and culture and the value system that governs that community should be considered, as we remove superficial layers, environmental features, and localization from myth and legend we end up in solid and unified figures that are common in most nations, that find its meaning and connect them all to a source in their work called the power of legends. The collective unconscious is expressed through archetypes and symbols. Archetypes emerge through symbols, which are manifestations of the subconscious. Mythology and legends employ the language of symbols to represent archetypes, particularly in architecture. Symbols that are deep and ancient possess a universal quality, allowing them to resonate with audiences across time and place. Humans are drawn to living in legends as a means of connecting to the collective unconscious and seeking self-improvement. Designing projects that create immersive experiences offers a safe and transformative environment for audiences. This enables them to become a part of the legend and connect to the invisible chain that transcends time and space. The dream of emerging from a cozy nest in the sand ◼ Getting inspired by the laying of turtles, the Hondurabi project is an architectural project aiming at creating a sustainable and innovative settlement near the sea. Therefore, this project consists of a series of dome-shaped units connected by underground tunnels and powered by renewable energy sources. The project seeks to integrate with the natural environment and minimize its ecological impact while providing a comfortable and modern lifestyle for the residents. ◼ The design of the turtle egg project is based on biomimicry principles, which practice imitating natural solutions for human-caused problems. By mimicking the shape and function of turtle eggs, the project hopes to achieve several benefits including thermal insulation, water retention, structural stability, natural ventilation, and visual appeal. This project also respects and protects the sea turtles’ habitat, as endangered species that faced many threats from humans. ◼ The turtle egg project is way more than just an architectural project. It is a social and environmental project that seeks to raise awareness and inspire action to protect sea turtles and their ecosystems. The project aims to work with local communities and organizations to educate and engage them in the protection and restoration of the marine environment. It also hopes to provide a model based on sustainable development that can be adapted to coastal regions around the world. ◼ What is invisible carries the legacy of ancient ancestors. A turtle egg was buried in a soft bed of sand, in a hidden corner of the beach, where the waves gently touched the shore. This precious gift was a rare and subtle wonder that few have seen. And each dome was a house, a shrine, and a cocoon for its inhabitants. It brings a generation to life in this deep calm blue water. Just in case a hand does not take the life of these silent turtles, and demolishes their hope to see the moonlight. The dream of emerging from a cozy nest in the sand comes true by connecting the giant earthy roots that come to life. This silent miracle with a small glimmer of light and hope, understands the rhythm of the tides and the heat of the sun, and is waiting for the moment of wonder; it is the time for this hidden treasure to reach the light. But where is the light? ◼ The material used in this project, due to the importance of local raw materials, was Shanashil (a native material of the Persian Gulf region) and its combination with concrete. Theme Parks UX Philosophy ◾ The developments of the last century have pushed the structure of modern social life towards urbanization. Urban public places have also found various uses including shopping centers, parks, supermarkets and restaurants in order to respond to the needs of life, recreation, education and culture. Therefore, theme parks have become one of the requirements of modern cities - To provide the possibility of different experiences to the visitor citizens can feel like tourists in their own city and in a safe space. The importance of theme parks in spending free time is so much that visiting them along with other tourist attractions such as zoos, aquariums, museums, galleries and shopping centers is included in the program of most tourist tours. ◾ Nowadays, theme parks have become an important part in the design of modern cities, and no modern city with tourist attractions can be found that does not have recreational and educational theme parks. The importance of theme parks for tourists is such that visiting them is included in the program of most travel tours along with other tourist attractions such as visiting zoos, aquariums, museums, art galleries and shopping centers. Theme parks include various functions and have a purpose. Establishing interaction and responding to the needs of people in different ages and groups are made. Therefore, in the construction of such parks, it is necessary to pay attention to the needs of the target audience, respect the principles of aesthetics, cultural and social characteristics. Achieving all these goals requires the use of planning and design based on the perception of patterns, thematic indicators, supportive spaces and identity elements. ◾ Thematic or context-oriented park is a general term for a group of structures that are located in a specific place with a single theme. Such parks, like Walt Disney's Magical Land, have a special theme that dominates the entire park. These mentioned places are usually built in such a way that the visitors spend a long time of the day walking and touring inside it. As a result, providing the diverse needs of visitors during a full day is one of the necessities of such parks. For this reason, they have a combination of various entertainment, educational services, restaurants, shops and resorts. Creating a sense of excitement and difference in theme parks is intensified by showing them in a vague and inaccessible way, using high fences or hedges. ◾ Theme parks are designed for all members of society to use and enjoy special facilities. Peace and escape from the pressures of everyday life and work is one of the advantages of such parks. Most of the citizens turn to parks in order to access healthy air, have fun, get active and stay away from pollution and cramped residential environment, walk, relieve fatigue and escape from the monotony of city life. #ondoffice #theme_parks #cross_border_experience info@ondoffice.com ondoffice.com
