Today, October 24, 2024, we mark 49 years since Iceland’s first Women’s Day Off. In 1975, thousands of Icelandic women walked out of their workplaces to protest gender inequality and showcase the critical contributions of women to society. ✊🏽✨❤️🔥 Nearly half a century later, we’re still standing strong in the fight for equality. 🇱🇻 This week we’ve had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from Zemgale Planning Region for a trip exploring innovation in Iceland. The team visited KLAK - Icelandic Startups , CCP Games, Iceland Ocean Cluster, 66°North, Carbfix and Friðheimar and met with local startups at the IIW office. ☕ We look forward to strengthening the ties between our communities and continuing the exchange of insights into innovation.
