AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions has been founded at the beginning of 2005 by Francesco Pelizza after six years of background experience in aerospace. The main idea was to gather talented and motivated people who would be able to work with the procedures and advanced standards used in aeronautic and aerospace fields. The main goal was to do it at an affordable price. At the beginning, we were offering engineering consulting services. Later on, in 2008 one of our Customers asked us to produce an awning that we have designed. Since then we are offering engineering services and producing custom products designed, built and tailored based on Client’s needs. Our core business is certainly the marine field. Nevertheless, we offer services for automotive, military and industrial sectors. Being involved in various projects enables us to use methods and knowledge coming from different realities in order to obtain “Advanced Mechanical Solutions”.

AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions manufactured ad hoc carbon fibre shields for the #Navetta 50 mt by Custom Line, a brand of the Ferretti Group. These #shields have been designed to be fitted in an emergency situation. In the event of a hull window breaking, the shield is mechanically fixed from the inside to cover the broken window and prevent water ingress. AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions performed the load tests on the MY Maverick 'ICEMAN' tender from Cantiere delle Marche thanks to the A-Frame crane (also skillfully made by AMS). The tender in this test consisted of hull (aluminium), deck (carbon), superstructure (carbon), engine and electrical cables. AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions was responsible for the realization of the Davit crane for the construction 115.32 Darwin Class made by Cantiere delle Marche. The Davit crane is made in carbon fibre and can be dismantled in two pieces. It has a load capacity of up to 1200kg at a working radius of 2500mm with the possibility of motorising the winch via an electric handle without the need to carry electric cables in the tumbler (low-friction rolling cups). The winch has an integrated brake system, certified for lifting people. AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions has completed the deck and is now producing the superstructure and hard top of the "#Iceman", MY #Maverick ’s tender made by Cantiere delle Marche in composite material. This ambitious project involves the construction of a large tender approximately 10 meters in length with an aluminum hull and carbon fiber deck and superstructure. In this way the hull has the resilience of aluminum and allows navigation in extreme areas, such as polar areas, in the presence of ice, while the total weight of the boat is kept low. The aluminum hull, due to the particular type of construction, made with nested and welded sheets, has important dimensional tolerances which forced AMS to create a coupling system, with the deck, that provides for effective recovery of the gaps in the interfaces. AMS has already pre-assembled the deck which fits perfectly with the hull. The testing of the AMS Advanced Mechanical Solutions A-Frame developed for the MY Maverick by Cantiere delle Marche was successfully concluded in the presence of the Italian Naval Registry. The Frame which has a maximum working capacity of 4000 kg has been tested as per the Standard at 110% of the MWL and therefore with an effective load of 4400 kg. The A-Frame, also created specifically for this vessel, represents an important engineering product that allows the tender to be launched from the stern.
