By doing that, we build culture as a way of strengthening community resilience, opening opportunities for social mobility and advocating for healthy and equitable food ecosystems.

    Since 2018, Refettorio Paris, a collaboration between Food for Soul and Le Foyer de la Madeleine, has been transforming the crypt of the Church of La Madeleine into a haven of dignity and community. By transforming surplus ingredients into nourishing meals, the Refettorio creates a space where food brings people together, fostering dignity, connection, and inclusion. With the contributions of artists and designers, the space itself becomes a reflection of beauty and creativity, reinforcing the idea that everyone deserves to be welcomed with care and respect. During one of the first services at Refettorio Ambrosiano Chef Virgilio Martinez answered this question with a simple bottle of refresco—juices made from surplus fruit—and a fennel salad. Today, that urgency remains at the heart of everything we do. 2025 - Food for Soul celebrates 10 years, and Osteria Francescana celebrates 30—a reminder that by joining forces, ordinary actions can become extraordinary. The first question of Never Stop Questioning: How old are you? is about the value of time and how we use it. Each month, we answer one of these questions with an ingredient that symbolizes our journey. For us, that ingredient is BREAD - a humble ingredient that represents transformation.
