We have commited to setting near-term reduction targets with the Science Based Targets initiative: 🌱 Use 60% renewable energy, including self-produced energy through the implementation of solar panels across our plants. 💧 -40% in water use across all plants through efficient management practices ♻️ 96% waste recovery rate by separating and recycling components and materials, minimizing waste and promoting a circular economy. Our dedication to enhancing smart home experiences has led to a heartwarming milestone. In Poland, we have successfully raised 40,000 PLN for the Fundacja Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy - Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity a noble cause dedicated to saving precious lives and promoting health awareness. In the spirit of giving, we've donated a one-of-a-kind Haier Series 9 refrigerator for WOŚP's 32nd charity auction. This isn't just any appliance; it's a masterpiece adorned with artwork inspired by WOŚP's mission, crafted by the incredibly talented Duśka ZUO Wacławik. The funds raised will directly contribute to acquiring vital medical equipment for diagnosing, monitoring, and treating lung diseases. benefiting young and old patients. By coming together for this cause, we’re not just supporting a charity - we’re making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A few weeks ago, seven of our colleagues from the UK and Ireland joined the “Train like a Wolf” event! They had the chance to receive valuable tips from the Warrington Wolves coaches and push their fitness limits in an incredibly fun way. The day was filled with networking, fitness challenges, and laughter! What a great experience it was to join forces with many inspiring runners at the B2Run in Munich, one of the most popular charity runs in Germany. Under the motto "Active Together," we not only embraced the challenge of the 5.1 km run but also the spirit of camaraderie and charity. Finishing at the iconic Olympiapark München was a moment of triumph, not just for us, but for every participant who took a step to support DKMS Group in their fight against blood cancer. A huge shoutout to all the teams that participated and making a difference!

We recently participated in the "Employment and Career Days" event organized by Eskişehir Tepebaşı Municipality. The event was a huge success, bringing together nearly 5,000 job seekers and employers in just 6 hours! Our Ismail M., HR Manager Turkey, and Burak C., HR Business Partner were on hand to provide valuable information about available career and internship opportunities at Haier Europe. We look forward to more such events and the chance to meet even more aspiring professionals!

Bravery in action - celebrating our local heroes! Our Mara Braschi, assembly line professional in Brugherio washing machine factory, and Liliana Orifici, Nursery, transformed their holiday in Italy into a life-saving mission. Their quick action and bravery saved a 75-year-old woman from drowning in a swimming pool. This act of courage is a testament to the value of the health and safety training programs we offer to our people, and we are committed to empowering our people with the skills to make a difference anytime and anywhere.
