Towards the end of May, 53 students and Prof. Dr. Timo Nuyken have been on a one-week excursion at Hassia Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH in Ranstadt. There they worked on a case study on the topic of modular systems as part of the course 'Life Cycle Oriented Production Management (LZOPM)'.  Together with Siegfried Wacker, Managing Director of Hassia Verpackungsmaschinen GmbH, Ingolf Bleyer, Director Supply Chain at IMA Dairy & Food Holding GmbH, was the host. Hassia's four-person project team had already visited the Faculty of Industrial Engineering and Management at THM Friedberg in early May and worked out the topics with the students.
