A brand new OPEN CALL from LOTTOZERO!!Have you ever wanted to experiment with sustainable materials and cutting-edge textile technology? Lottozero’s Circular Wool Lab is on a mission to transform rustic Italian wool—often discarded as waste—into a valuable resource for art and design. We are opening our doors to one selected artist or designer for a week-long residency in Prato, Italy, where you’ll have FREE access to our TC2 digital jacquard loom and our fully equipped textile lab. This is your chance to explore the potential of this unique material, prototype new ideas, and push the boundaries of circular design! As our resident, you will receive: 24-hour access to Lottozero’s co-working space and lab, use of weaving, spinning, and knitting equipment, mentorship and technical support from our expert team, exclusive visits to textile companies and museums, a one-week stay in our brand-new residency apartment Whether you are interested in weaving, material research, or innovative textile applications, this residency is an opportunity to bring your vision to life! We’ll kick off with a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to turn denim scraps into stylish tote bags using patchwork technique. You can also bring your own old denim fabrics. Only five spots are available, so be sure to register early! 6:00 PM – Presentation of REUP label + Networking + Aperitivo Mihaela Mihajlovic will present her upcycling brand, called Reinkout Upcycling (REUP), which she launched at Lottozero. Last week was absolutely crazy and incredible, We started off on November 25th to 27th with the Creative FLIP Learning Labs Peer Exchange on Sustainable Fashion & Textile, which brought an inspiring group of Creative Facilitators to Lottozero! Coordinated by Goethe-Institut Brussels in collaboration with European Creative Hubs Network, Learning Labs finance co-creation projects between creatives & local schools, and gave us the chance to meet: studio WOUW, Tamara Djuric, Illustrious Lab, Creative Spark Dundalk Fashion Revolution Polska, WhyWeCraft® Association, Carnica Institute, Martina Marolt, Back To Eco Highlights from the event: - Engaged in fun ice breaker activities, insightful discussions, and interactive workshops to refine their Learning Lab projects. - Explored sustainable fashion innovation through a guided tour of a local wool recycling centre and hands-on experimentation in Lottozero’s textile laboratory. - Learned from Elena Ianeselli, who shared educational resources on Fashion History and Sustainability developed by the ReFashionized project - Deepened understanding of Intellectual Property Rights with insights from the Institut de la Propriété Intellectuelle Luxembourg GIE (IPIL), focusing on teaching primary and secondary students about IP in the creative industries.
