At Capital Markets Day, we showcased 3 items to demonstrate how technology can transform not only how we make things but also our lives. 🚗 One of them is car components made from upcycled plastic at MyReplast Industries plant. Here, plastic waste is turned into high-quality polymers, proving that these materials can not only replace fossil-based virgin plastics but do so in an exceptional way. We call it upcycling. This inspiring story also reflects our business model: investing in plants to test and perfect our technology before selling it. The Brescia plant has been performing exceptionally well, leading to our first license sale in Italy, with more international sales on the horizon. Another step to unveiling BOOST 💥🚀   At the Innovation Fund 2024, our Francesca Chionchio, Energy Transition Portfolio Engineer, presented Project BOOST, which aims to establish the first commercial plant using NXRe PMMA technology for continuous chemical recycling of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) waste into high-quality, value-added intermediate products.   Francesca shared how our journey through the application process led to securing a €4 million grant from the European Commission via the Innovation Fund (3rd call for Small Scale projects) to scale up our proprietary technology. 💡   BOOST was selected based on five criteria: GHG emissions reduction, innovation, project maturity, scalability, and cost efficiency. Presenting our team's performance at the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Forum, the ultimate event for driving the adoption of sustainable aviation fuel! ➡️ Enzo De Biase, our Licensing Business Development Manager, participated in the panel "Pathways to 2050: Scalability and Urgency to Take Action," leveraging his extensive international experience in technology licensing and green chemistry to promote SAF. ➡️ Davide Stramare showed off our NX PTU and NX SAF™ BIO technologies, presenting our project in Sei Mangkei, Indonesia. This project emphasizes the importance of small-scale SAF units in utilizing local feedstock. We're talking about 60kty per year of SAF, boosting the local economy, cutting down on imports, and slashing aviation emissions by up to 95% compared to fossil fuels. NEXTCHEM has been awarded a three-year contract by Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) to provide engineering and technology services related to the Sulphur Recovery Complex of SATORP’s refinery in Saudi Arabia. ➡️ NEXTCHEM will provide process and engineering advisory services to enhance performance, support operational troubleshooting, and improve energy efficiency and the carbon footprint of the three units which compose the Sulphur Recovery Complex. ➡️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/drAxbruV

MAIRE announces that its subsidiaries NEXTCHEM, TECNIMONT and KT - Kinetics Technology have been granted new awards for a total amount of 3.5 billion dollars for engineering and procurement and construction activities related to petrochemical and hydrotreating projects, as well as high value engineering services for a waste to chemical project. ➡️ These projects - whose engineering activities have already started - have been granted by prominent international clients in South Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa and in Central Asia. ➡️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/e6eW99rY

NEXTCHEM awarded a licensing contract by Transition Industries for a 2.1 million tons per year ultra-low carbon methanol plant in Mexico based on its proprietary NX AdWinMethanol® Zero technology. ➡️ The plant is poised to be one of the largest standalone ultra-low carbon chemical production facility in the world, with a total output in excess of 2.1 million ton/year. ➡️ The whole package for the project is estimated to be around €250 million and includes also the basic engineering, proprietary and critical equipment supply, as well as assistance to commissioning, start-up and operation of the facility. ➡️ Read more: https://lnkd.in/e7eYzskQ
