🚀 Excited to share that I’ll be at Slush again this year, from November 19th to 21st, marking my second year in a row at one of the world’s leading startup events, bringing some #EquityCrowdfunding waves in Helsinki ❄. Grateful to Italian Tech Alliance for giving me the incredible opportunity to join a panel titled: “The Italian Tech Scene at a crossroad: the hottest sectors and the most intriguing trends.” 🌍🚀 I’ll be sharing the stage with some top-tier VC and other important players from the Italian ecosystem to discuss early-stage trends in Italy and give a brief overview of the "European Equity Crowdfunding Landscape" we are developing at Over Ventures. Oggi, lanciare una campagna di #crowdfunding di successo, senza alcuna esperienza pregressa nel settore o uno sparring partner (del settore e che abbia un track record chiaro ed evidente), che ti possa aiutare nelle attività preparatorie è molto arduo se non impossibile! Non lo dico io (che qualche voce in capitolo potrei anche avere 🙂), lo dicono i #numeri! E quelli non sbagliano mai... Per tutto il resto ci si affida ai tentativi... Negli ultimi mesi, più di sempre, mi sono ritrovato a parlare con numerosi #founder con bisogno di aiuto nelle attività di #fundraising e più in particolare per avere delle dritte sul #crowdfunding. Vuoi il periodo non proprio favorevole, vuoi che i co-founders erano tutti impegnati al 110% nell'execution del core business, ed ecco assistere ad un'ecatombe di raccolte con tempistiche dilatate in 6-12 di mesi. Una volta raccontato come Over Ventures può essere d'aiuto (e non sempre può esserlo ovviamente), ci si è presi il tempo necessario a decidere il da farsi, lasciando la palla agli imprenditori. Come in tutti i processi di vendita, ovviamente molti di questi interlocutori non si sono più fatti sentire, salvo poi ricomparire dopo qualche mese con post apocalittici su Linkedin, relativi alla difficoltà di raccolta, alla non bontà del crowdfunding, alla mancanza di #VC in Italia e chi più ne ha più ne metta... Sarebbe stato molto più semplice ascoltare e approfondire con un team di esperti qualche mese prima, e capire come sfruttare al meglio tutti gli strumenti a disposizione per poter raggiungere dei risultati in tempi brevi, e invece no, la colpa è sempre del "destino" o in generale degli "altri". Così, per il #crowdfunding, abbiamo deciso di lanciare un'iniziativa, assieme ad alcuni partner, volta a favorire l'accesso a #bestpractice e strumenti proiettati al successo. Nasce il #CrowdfundingAccelerationProgram, un programma a pagamento di 4 settimane, in cui esperti italiani ed internazionali forniscono il #toolbox per il successo a 20 aziende selezionate da Over Ventures e i principali portali di crowdfunding italiani ed europei.
