Producing electricity, heat or fuels using what is no longer needed. So-called "Waste-To-Energy" (WTE), or waste-to-energy valorization represents another aspect of the circular economy, often less publicized than recycling or reuse, and in any case less preferable than the latter. A solution that, however, remains better than landfilling, considering the impacts the latter option has on the environment. PetrolValves and its subsidiary VSI Controls have been awarded for the supply of the Severe Service control valves for the North London waste-to-energy plant. This new Energy Recovery Facility will turn waste into power and heat for tens of thousands of local homes, bringing energy security from waste, through world’s best technology to remove nitrogen oxides and minimize emissions of particulate, ahead of the 2050 CCS target for all energy-from waste facilities as advised by the Climate Change Committee. PetrolValves supply will include the Turbine Bypass System and #4 PRDS (Pressure Reducing & Desuperheating System) for the steam pressure and temperature control, equipped with industry-leading technology, including the steam-assisted desuperheaters, capable of maximize the turndown of the plant through perfect temperature control.

Exciting news! PetrolValves and Petrobras have been building a strong partnership since the Buzios 5 projects. Starting with the successful qualification run on the first 3-off, we're now reaching new heights with the Buzios 7 project. Our Tandem ball valves at 10kpsi, equipped with a PetrolValves Planetary Gearbox and installed at over 2.000 meters water depth, mark a significant step forward. PetrolValves recently achieved the API 17D license and is actively developing a range of Subsea Slab Gate Valves, designed to operate up to 4.000 meters water depth, meeting Petrobras' operational and design requirements. Our R&D engineers are working on 1” and ½” Slab Gate Valves, both ROV and Hydraulically operated, with a full 10.000 psi qualification in compliance with applicable standards. In addition, PetrolValves is pioneering innovative Subsea designs, focusing on weight and dimension optimizations for both valves and operators. Following a visit from Petrobras Engineering's team, we're aligned on our developments and market possibilities for subsea projects. PetrolValves is eager to forge future partnerships for Subsea applications in Brazil's fields, covering small bore valves and large valves, including Manifold, XTree, and pipeline valves, whether Ball, Check, or Gate Valves, Manual or Actuated Valves, we've got it covered.
