WeRoad è una community di viaggiatori on the road che nasce dalla volontà di aggregare persone accomunate dalla voglia di viaggiare in piccoli gruppi, omogenei per età e preferenze di viaggio alla scoperta di Paesi e culture lontane. Ci piace l'avventura, il divertimento, vivere la cultura del posto e amiamo gli alloggi tipici e i cibi locali. Crediamo nella condivisione delle esperienze: il nostro obiettivo è tanto il viaggio, quanto il creare amicizie che durino nel tempo. Sappiamo che per motivi di budget o di ferie mettersi d’accordo con gli amici è sempre più difficile, per questo con WeRoad puoi partire anche da solo e quando vuoi! Tu scegli la destinazione, il periodo di viaggio ed il mood che più fa per te tra: relax, divertimento, cultura o natura ed alla compagnia ci pensiamo noi! Ogni turno è guidato da un coordinatore che ti accompagnerà per tutto il tempo così non dovrai pensare a niente se non a divertirti!

    Why do you travel? Is it really just because you 'need a holiday'? As our society becomes more interconnected, we ironically become more introspective. We frequently find ourselves in a pervasive cycle of existential dread, and yet existential theory places responsibility in the hands of the individual, we are ‘free’ to define ourselves and our paths. So how do we find this path? For starters, you need to get off it. Adventure and travel invites us to diverge from our routines. It’s a chance to be momentarily ‘free,’ by getting off the beaten path of normality, so we can pause, breathe and reconnect with not only our surroundings, but also each other.  Adventure isn’t about self-interest. Adventure is a collective experience. We travel because we believe in the power of forging real human connections, friendships, and experiences. We travel because the world should be experienced intuitively and empirically, not just virtually. We travel because engaging in the world’s complexities leads to more cooperation and sympathy. We travel because wandering helps alleviate fears and prejudices, and we want to build a community that promotes empathy and understanding of people, cultures, and stories. We travel because travel is the most authentic way to understand what it means to be human. We travel because sometimes it hurts, sometimes it is uncomfortable, sometimes it breaks your heart and heals it at the same time. We travel because it changes us. It leaves a lasting mark on our memory, it leaves lasting footprints on our soul, it changes the way we see the world and the way we see ourselves. We travel because we’re all chasing happiness, and nothing touches the heart of that search more powerfully than the thrill and vulnerability of adventure. That’s why we travel, but what’s your why?

    ANOTHER YEAR, ANOTHER WEROAD FESTIVAL This weekend, 2000 Travel Coordinators and Team members met in Puglia to celebrate not only how we have gone from 8,000 to 80,000 WeRoaders in just 4 years, but to live first-hand our ultimate goal: “𝘉𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴" A community that’s impossible to describe with words.     LETS 2024, mapped the Leading European Tech Scale-ups ecosystem that expanded outside their domestic market. And we are super pumped to share that WeRoad made this epic 251-long list (shoutout to our fellow Italians at Bending Spoons 🇮🇹)!     FROM SELFIES TO SOPHISTICATED SNAPS As you know, we love a selfie. We like them big, we like them small, we like plastering them all over metros and cities for all the world to see. This time, however, we turned our cameras round and changed up our iconic format for something more artistic (but equally iconic). What do we all have ready in hand when travelling? A smartphone of course! So we organised a photo exhibition with Xiaomi Italia to test out the cameras of their Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G model, and prove that anyone and everyone can be a photographer (OK maybe not everyone). We called the exhibition “Icons,” because the photos were taken by coordinators, capturing their favourite, and most iconic moments during their trips, this summer. What about you? Are you more smiling selfie or sophisticated snaps when travelling?

    A VERY BRAT STUNT FOR OUR DEMURE TRAVELLERS We took over Manchester with yet another Guerrilla campaign, to Brattily announce to Demure travellers they can now filter out trips with a private room option on our website. Hey, we're all about sharing rooms; we think it's a great way to get to know your travel companions. We also appreciate, however, that for some it's not always very demure, very mindful. So whether you're more Brat or Demure, you're always welcome on a WeRoad.

    WHERE IS THE LOVE? In Manchester. Last weekend we joined the Love Party at Kampus in Manchester to celebrate Pride! The highlight of our weekend was being able to meet so many wonderful people, dance, and bring some WeRoad magic to this already magic weekend. Meanwhile, the highlight for one of our colleagues was being able to use the WeRoad branded toilet paper. Hey, each to their own.
