Today we are telling you the story of Amal, a Syrian girl who wakes up every day to go to school, despite the difficulties she faces as soon as she leaves her home. Her daily life, shown in the short film that we created along with Factanza Media, tells a bigger story: that of many children who, every day, try to reclaim their dreams and their future in a context where education is a hope that still resists. Entire generations of children and youths have been deprived of the right to education in #Syria, a country that is experiencing one of the most severe humanitarian crises in the world. We have been standing by the Syrian population since 2011, promoting access to education, clean water, sanitation services, as well as creating livelihood opportunities as children transition from school to the job market. We work together with EU in Emergencies to improve access to safe and inclusive learning environments and to strengthen the quality of educational services. Today and every day, we will continue to work so that everyone can go back to school. As the right to the future includes access to safe, inclusive, and quality education. Entire generations of children in Syria have been deprived of a fundamental right: the right to education. What does it mean for them to go to school and dream of a different future? Find it out through the story of Amal, the protagonist of the animated short film that we created together with Factanza Media and with the support of EU in Emergencies Amal's dreams, hopes, and daily struggles reflect the lives of millions of children and youths who are striving to rebuild their future in a country that is facing a deep humanitarian crisis. We will soon unveil Amal’s story in full to mark the fourteenth year of the conflict in #Syria, where we have been working since 2011 alongside children and youths, ensuring their right to the future, which also involves access to a safe, inclusive and quality #education.

Oggi primo intenso giorno di lavoro alla Conference on the Status of Women presso la sede delle Nazioni Unite a New York. Migliaia di donne da tutto il mondo e qualche uomo. Oggi si è parlato del protagonismo necessario delle giovani donne, di patriarcato, occupazione e colonialismo e del costo sproporzionato delle guerre sulle donne dalla Palestina all’Ucraina.
