** A revolution in pelvic floor health: experience our #MAPLe introduction and launch in Mexico at the 34th International Congress of CMUG (Mexican College of Urogynecology). MAPLe® provides a detailed diagnosis of the pelvic floor using EMG and a specific and optimal treatment with electrostimulation, followed by extensive biofeedback. In practice, we see a significant reduction in the number of treatments, allowing more patients to be treated in the same time. Hugo Galeote Diego de la Concha SMS Medical Novuqare Pelvic Health B.V. When Joanne first experienced incontinence after childbirth, she felt dismissed by some medical professionals. “If women are told that a ‘difficult’ birth is bound to make them a ‘bit incontinent,’ they feel like they’re making a fuss,” she says. “I can’t put into words the impact this condition has,” she says. “Before I go out, I need to know where the nearest toilets are. I need to have spare clothes, pads and antibiotics in case of infection.” The AMELIE team is dedicated to improving outcomes for patients like Joanne who live with faecal incontinence after sphincter injury. We are delighted that our work is spotlighted this #WorldContinenceWeek24 in the Bladder & Bowel Campaign. Hello Network, I am pleased to announce that the #BladderBowelHealth2024 campaign has launched today, and is available in every copy of The Guardian ! With the growing attention to IBD and pelvic health in recent years, this campaign will raise awareness around incontinence, gut health and pelvic problems, ensuring that the impacts of living with bladder and bowel conditions are fully recognised. It will also aim to increase public and professional knowledge of bladder and bowel conditions, exploring innovations in treatments, diagnoses and the management of different conditions and how they are impacted by lack of access to treatment across the globe. A huge thank you to Louise Thompson for sharing her journey with ulcerative colitis, and to everyone who contributed to the campaign, making it such an insightful edition: Association for Continence Professionals THE BRITISH ASSOCIATION OF UROLOGICAL SURGEONS LIMITED Bowel Cancer UK Bowel Research UK AMELIE UCL Chuckling Goat Crohn's & Colitis UK European Association of Urology Ferring Pharmaceuticals Hamlet BioPharma Invivo Healthcare Medtronic World Federation of Incontinence and Pelvic Problems - WFIPP You can read the campaign in every copy of The Guardian, and online at: https://lnkd.in/gJFHfEmD Massive thanks to Caroline K., Ciara Barker and the Mediaplanet UK & IE team for making the campaign the success it is! #BladderBowelHealth2024 #WorldContinenceWeek
