About us
Domestic abuse comes in different forms, some more subtle than others. They are all a way to control someone by manipulating them so they lose their freedom bit by bit. It can be hard to spot the warning signs but recognising the red flags early on is essential for providing support to those who may be experiencing it. Following our campaign launch earlier this year, aimed at supporting employers to be aware of how to manage domestic abuse concerns in the workplace, we have been contacted by employers who have put the FREE toolkit to use. The team at Jersey Domestic and Sexual Abuse support (JDAS) have recently met with Jersey Employment Trust (JET) around their recently implemented workplace policy. This sets out clear guidance to enable managers to deal effectively with such concerns and to ensure staff are supported.
