Together with Koichi Kise (Osaka Metropolitan University), Nora Sar (Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation), and Mayor Ryosuke Takashima (City of Ashiya), we explored the challenges and opportunities of digitization, especially in the context of learning, professional development and training. 🌐 While digital transformation can be daunting, our discussion concluded on an optimistic note. With the right framework and accessible resources, digital learning offers powerful benefits: 1️⃣ Increased Accessibility: Knowledge reaches learners worldwide, breaking down geographic and financial barriers. 2️⃣ Flexible Learning Pathways: Digital tools allow for customized and self-paced education, empowering individuals to learn in ways that work best for them. 3️⃣ Enhanced Collaboration: Digital platforms facilitate knowledge exchange across cultures and time zones, fostering innovative ideas and partnerships. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the conversation! We look forward to continuing this dialogue and meeting again soon! 🌟👋 #WeAreDJW #DigitalEducation #LifelongLearning #GermanJapaneseExchange

On October 24, Wolfgang Bierer (Founder and CEO | ENDEAVOR SBC K.K.) and Michael Reinhardt (Consulting Manager | ENDEAVOR SBC) led a workshop at #AHKJapan, discussing "The Challenges of DX Transformation in Japan." Highlights included: 🗝 Digital Cliff 2025: #Japan faces a projected shortage of #ICT professionals, increasing from 300,000 to between 450,000 and 800,000 by 2030, which could cost the economy 12 trillion yen annually. 🗝 #DX Transformation and Challenges: The three stages Digitization (converting analog data to digital), Digitalization (optimizing workflows), and Digital Transformation (revolutionizing business models) are confronted by communication gaps or outdated systems. 🗝 #ERP Solutions and #EDI: Unique Japanese business needs, such as specific rounding rules and integration with legacy systems, are often overlooked by global rollout teams; meanwhile EDI remains complex in Japan with industry-specific VANs. After the workshop, participants engaged in a Q&A session and networking. We thank the speakers and attendees for their valuable contributions. 🙋♂️🙋🏻♀️ Still not a member of AHK Japan yet?
