At FOX Academy, we co-hosted the "AWL Friends-giving" potluck with AWL, Inc., Netdoor, and Letara Ltd. at Deep Tech Core. It was a warm and vibrant gathering of IT professionals, startup enthusiasts, and students from across Sapporo. As a Tech Startup Founder, I’m always eager to stay updated on the tech market. Nordic Tech Day was a key event I was looking forward to during my trip to Sweden, and it didn’t disappoint! Hosted by SEB and Kong Inc. in Stockholm, it was an incredible opportunity to hear about their API journey. I had the pleasure of listening to amazing speakers like Daniel Franzén, Head of Open Banking at SEB, and Ashley Osborne, Field CTO at Kong. I also had the chance to meet Per Lange, one of the panelists and an inspiring founder. His delivery was excellent! Big thanks to Per for inviting me to his AI hackathon — even though it was a last-minute invite, I jumped right in and joined the Sinch and Cillers AI-Powered Communications Hackathon.It was such a power-packed event, and I got to meet tech giants, fellow founders, and amazing developers from across Sweden. It was an unforgettable experience that broadened my network and deepened my understanding of the evolving tech landscape in the Nordics. Wow, what a week in Munich—it went by like a flash! It was a jam-packed week with back-to-back business meetings, investor sessions, partnership meetings, university visits, and sales workshops. I even got to experience a real "Shark Tank" moment, pitching in front of German investors, including Mr. Colin Turner. Honestly, I've lost count of how many pitches we did over the last five days! One of the highlights was the Startup Night pitch, where we had the chance to meet local startups, investors, and industry pros. Alongside my startup, three other startups were selected and supported by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Start2 Group and Scaler8 group in Germany as part of this market expansion program. We arrived here as strangers, but over the week, we’ve built strong friendships and supported each other in every way. Philip Long Phi Nguyen, PhD, Xiaoyan Zhou, Wataru Shimada and Aik Boon Chua ( Singapore). The sales workshop, led by Ivo Dimovsky , was a true eye-opener for me. I’ve always believed that sales is an art, and this session really reinforced that perspective. Thank you, Dr. Dina Barbian and your team, for hosting us at your research institute and opening the door to a university partnership! We spent a solid month and a half prepping before arriving in Germany, giving our requirements and meeting requests. Huge kudos to the Start2 group, especially Till Ammelburg, Luca Ferrara, David Hajizadeh ,Sonali Müller , Khashayar Ansari ,Jit Singh and @Hyundo Byeon for all their hard work in understanding our needs and arranging meetings tailored to our industry. I also had the pleasure of connecting with other fascinating startup founders here, including Vijay Pravin Maharajan , who’s originally from my hometown and is running a successful business in Germany. Even with my packed schedule, I kept up with my morning runs, soaking in the beauty of the city. BMW Town, Olympia Park, and those stunning sunrises? Absolutely breathtaking. And Bavarian food—unforgettable! I’m certain I’ll return to this city. And YES!! I’m at Merantix Capital - AI Campus Berlin until the evening of the 16th, kicking off another action-packed week!
