    The week of September 25, when the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted, is "GLOBAL GOALS WEEK" (from September 20 to 29 this year). LIXIL is committed to creating a positive societal & environmental impact through our diverse initiatives based on our Impact Strategy. We are pleased to share the recent updates to our Impact website, reflecting our ongoing efforts. Updates of the Three Strategic Pillars of LIXIL’s Impact Strategy 🚽Global Sanitation & Hygiene: The shipment of SATO brand products has exceeded one million units for the fifth consecutive year. To date, an estimated 8.6 million SATO products have been distributed across 45 countries, improving the sanitation and hygiene conditions of approximately 68 million people. 💧Water Conservation & Environmental Sustainability: ・As a response to how LIXIL manages environmental risks and opportunities, including for climate change, natural capital, and biodiversity, published the "Disclosure Report in Response to TNFD and TCFD Recommendations" ・LIXIL has become the first Japanese company in the building product sector to receive SBT (Science Based Targets) Net-Zero approval, based on its long-term target to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. 👨👩👧👦Diversity & Inclusion: In the People & Organizational Development review held in FYE2024, female employees constituted 30.5% of the candidates selected as potential successors for key positions We also feature initiatives and community contributions across LIXIL related to employee safety & wellbeing, procurement, human rights, and more. The state-of-the-art facility, developed in collaboration with Zamil Plastic Industries Co. and aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. This new facility spans over 26,000 sqm and is dedicated to producing exceptional Concealed Cisterns, integrating advanced German technology with Saudi expertise. The facility, which employs over 200 talented professionals, reflects our commitment to supporting local manufacturing, job creation, and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. This facility ensures that every GROHE product meets the highest levels of quality and performance, reinforcing our promise of excellence to our customers in the region and beyond.     Every day, 1,000 children under the age of five die from diseases linked to unsafe water, sanitation and hygiene. Since 2018, UNICEF has partnered with LIXIL to increase access to safe sanitation in Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria and Tanzania. By increasing the availability and affordability of safe clean toilets, the partnership has enabled more than 12 million people to gain access to at least basic sanitation and hygiene. The AWE plays a key role in advocating for and educating about sustainability, and their expertise helps us create products and initiatives that support responsible water use around the world. We are committed to finding innovative ways to bring sustainable solutions to life, from water-saving product design to our work with communities like Lowndes County in Alabama that deal with sanitation issues every day. We look forward to working with the AWE for years to come to make this vision a reality.
