Last week we attended the The World Bank and International Monetary Fund Annual Meetings and Devex World flagship event in #WashingtonDC. As we look to scale our #PanAfrican vision, we are also grateful to Voice of America for hosting us at their television and radio studios to share more about our work. At Devex, our CEO, Wawira Njiru, spoke about how we are deploying and scaling technology to feed 450,000 children a day and build a blueprint that uses data to scale impact and achieve operational excellence. At The World Bank, she spoke about the need for more investment in Africa’s youth who are the future global workforce. Today, 1 in 8 people in the world are African. But by 2050, 1 in 4 people in the world will be African. Investing in African children is investing in the future of the world. #Feedingthefuture (Photo Credits: Benjamin Carver)

🎉 Excited to announce that over a month ago, we completed the setup of a new laboratory The aim was to significantly enhance the speed and efficiency of our testing processes which include physical and chemical tests, metal analysis, and microbiological tests within 8-24 hours—much faster than the 5 working days required when using third-party services. Not only does this improve our quality control, but it also helps us better manage our costs. By having in-house capabilities, we can reduce our overall Cost Per Meal (CPM), which is something we monitor closely on a monthly basis. Our long-term vision is to open this lab for public use, expanding its benefits and ensuring safe, affordable food for more people. Stay tuned for more updates! 🚀 #Feedingthefuture #QualityControl #Innovation
