Without fuel, your car is going nowhere. Yet millions of small business owners have to try and drive a car without fuel. (This post is not about fuel 😜) Working capital is the cash flow secret to running and growing a biz. 🏎️ If you drive a car or a boda - you need fuel to operate your biz. 🍲 If you have a kibanda or catering biz - you need ingredients for your meals. 👚 If you have a mtumba biz - you need fresh bales to delight your customers. 🍞 If you get a big new order for your duka but you don't have the cash to buy the supplies, you can't grow your biz. Working capital is crucial for biz success. That's why at MESH we're over the moon to team up again with Pezesha to offer MESHERS a great deal on working capital loans. 🚀 Live on MESH in the opportunity section this week! PS: don't have the MESH app installed yet? https://lnkd.in/gwY2byuE

There's a new hustle in town: the "AI humanizer". As people are quickly adopting generative AI to create written content, young online writers in Kenya and beyond are feeling the crunch. They're quickly pivoting to a new line of service: the AI humanizer. An AI humanizer can: Adapt AI content to your brand tone of voice Make it more locally relevant Link in others bits of your content and more... It's what everyone is chatting about - on MESH and other channels. We're seeing MESHERS adapt their profiles on online work platforms like Upwork. While writers are talking about it - are clients buying it? It's too early to tell. We're keeping our fingers on the pulse. Follow MESH for more insights on online livelihoods. There are many reasons why we measure impact at MESH. Last year we added an eight reason to the list! 1️⃣ Builds Trust – People want to know their support is making a real difference. Measuring impact shows you're actually walking the talk. 2️⃣ Helps You Get Better – Tracking results lets you see what’s working (and what’s not) so you can tweak things and make a bigger impact. 3️⃣ Attracts Funding & Support – Investors, donors, and partners love data. If you can prove your impact, you're more likely to get the backing you need. 4️⃣ Makes Growth Easier – If you know what’s working, you can replicate it and expand into new markets or communities more effectively. 5️⃣ Keeps You Compliant – Many grants and government programs require impact reports. Staying on top of this avoids headaches later. 6️⃣ Boosts Your Brand – Customers and clients are drawn to brands that can prove they’re making a difference. Show your impact and build a loyal following. 7️⃣ Encourages Innovation – Sometimes, measuring impact reveals surprises—good or bad—that lead to fresh ideas and better solutions. And last but not least: 8️⃣ It's Sooooo Gratefying for the Team. Last year we partnered with 60 Decibels and Caribou Digital to listen directly to women about the quality of their experience on MESH and our impact on their lives. They came back with some stunning numbers that blew us away 😍😍😍. Which impact stat sent the team over the moon? Read the story and the report on the blog by 60 Decibel's Alison Tan. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gEVyWKZJ

👀 Need eyes on the ground in Kenya? We’ve got you covered! Grassroots Business Fund supports entrepreneurs across Africa by, amongst others, offering affordable business loans. But here’s the catch: loans without physical verification can be more likely to default. That’s where MESHERS come in. With MESHERS in every corner of Kenya, we can find and deploy local talent in days. GBF tapped into our network to find smart, committed individuals to conduct on-the-ground checks of their loan applicants. Now, 27 MESHERS are assessing businesses for GBF—verifying paperwork, locations, admin tasks, and business processes. The result? Our partners can make smarter, faster decisions and amplify their impact across Africa - and MESHERS have an extra income stream. Want to partner with MESHERS? 📨 Contact Njonjo Kiroga for more information.
