UPDATE: Two Rivers International Finance & Innovation Centre SEZ (TRIFIC), the only services-focused Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Kenya, has announced that it has secured an investment of Kes.6 billion (US$47.5 million) from Vantage Capital Markets, an African mezzanine finance investor. https://lnkd.in/divxadXd

The County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs) spearheaded by Ministry of Investments,Trade and Industry in collaboration with County Governments has gained momentum. I'm glad to note great progress, where several counties have made significant strides in this venture. I recently led discussions between my Ministry and the Council of Governors' Trade Committee on the Expression of Interest for various services required for the management of CAIPs across the counties. We intend to have a well-coordinated implementation procedure to ensure these facilities transform the lives of our people as intended. I have invited Excellency Governors to help us enrich the initiative and documentation thereof give input and comments ahead of its actualization.

Kenya and the United States will be engaging on the sixth round of the Kenya – United States Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership (STIP) negotiations in Mombasa, from June 3-7. The United States delegation will be led by Assistant U.S. Trade Representative Constance Hamilton and will include representatives from several other U.S. government agencies. https://lnkd.in/gy8VrAUe
