A legacy of care
About us
Located in Parklands Area in Nairobi, M.P. Shah Hospital is a modern 210-bed facility which is home to highly skilled and experienced specialists and professional medical staff. For generations, we have been ranked among the best private hospitals in Kenya because of our excellent standards and the high quality of services and personal care we provide. We are pacesetters in our field, inspired by our core value of care. We care about the dignity of our patients and strive to become a one-stop healthcare provider in East and Central Africa. We operate under the umbrella of the Social Service League which is a non-racial, non-religious, non-political charitable institution. The scope of the social service league includes the main hospital in Parklands, the Village Market Medical Clinic, and the Dinshaw Byramjee Dispensary and Dental Unit located in Nairobi downtown, at Ronald Ngala Street. MP Shah Hospital has been recognized as a national referral facility with ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification. We are also affiliated to COSECSA (College of Surgeons of East Central and Southern Africa), an independent body that fosters postgraduate education in surgery and provides surgical training.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗴𝗶𝘃𝘂: 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 In a world where leadership is often measured by 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, Jane Ngivu. CNO, PhD Std, MSC-HSM, BScN, CPHQ, SHEA-IA is breaking the mold; choosing boldness over conformity, audacity over hesitation, and bravery over the status quo. As the 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 at M.P. Shah Hospital , Nairobi, Jane has not only elevated healthcare standards, securing 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, but she has done so with a leadership style that is fearless, transformative, and deeply human-centered. Most recently, she led the launch of a patient experience and compassionate care program, proving that healthcare isn’t just about systems and protocol, it’s about 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁. But what truly sets Jane apart? She refuses to play small. She dares to disrupt, to innovate, and to lead with the heart. Through initiatives like the annual employee engagement program and the nursing calendar, she has cultivated an environment where healthcare professionals feel 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 to thrive. At her core, Jane lives by the mantra: “𝗜𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲, 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲”. She takes full ownership of her journey, choosing growth over excuses, resilience over fear, and action over hesitation. To her, challenges are stepping stones, setbacks are lessons, and every day is a new opportunity to rise. She lives out the call we’ve been making: for brave leaders who challenge the status quo, step into spaces where they are needed, and refuse to conform to outdated expectations Jane is indeed a true leader, a visionary, and a steadfast advocate for healthcare excellence and human-centered leadership and I celebrate her this #IWD month. Keep leading, keep inspiring, Jane! #WomenWhoLead #HealthcareExcellence #AudaciousLeadership #PatientExperience #BoldBraveUnstoppable Toseef Din Msc,FCCA, CPA(K),Bsc Dr. Manoj Shah Dr. Wangui Muthigani Angela Muriuki, Dr. Dr Norah Akong'o Obudho (MD, MPH, PMD, PgMD) Women Changing The World

This week marked World Patient Safety Week, under the theme "Moving the Needle: Turning Awareness into Action for Safer Patients and Care Teams." As a hospital, we dedicated the week to enhancing patient safety through a series of staff training sessions and activities aimed at improving care standards. We gathered for a closing ceremony to appreciate our staff who actively participated in the week’s activities. As we conclude this important week, we reaffirm our commitment to building a culture of safety, continuous learning, and excellence in patient care. Patient safety is not just a week-long initiative it is a daily commitment. #MPShahCares #MPShahLegacyofCare #DaktariWakoYukoHapa #PatientSafetyWeek
