This weekend at the AU Summit, leaders will discuss the theme 'Educate an Africa fit for the 21st Century.' We are in a climate crisis perpetuated by the plastics crisis. To tackle this we must go back to basics and strengthen old traditions to put Africa on the map for sustainable solutions! For this, we call on AU Chair and African governments to prioritise reducing plastic production, uphold human rights, and invest in real solutions like reuse and refill. Share this video and make some noise - don't ignore this crisis. African Union #AUSummit Hellen Kahaso Dena

An impact assessment by Nottawasaga Institute (NI) found the One Stop Youth Centre (OSYC) in South Sudan, established by UN-Habitat, effectively addressed the community's main #youth issues - lack of education and unemployment. OSYC skills training directly tackled these problems and women beneficiaries were twice as likely as men to utilize acquired skills. The majority of the community also credited the OSYC with contributing to peacebuilding by engaging at-risk youth. https://bit.ly/3UdNOye
