Imagine being a child who wakes up before sunrise, not to play or get ready for school, but to walk miles in search of water. By the time they reach class, they’re exhausted, late, and struggling to keep up. Instead of running, laughing, and learning, their childhood is spent fetching water.  Today we stand with these children. Clean water shouldn’t be a privilege; it is a right. Together, we can change this. On this World Water Day let us reflect on the critical role water plays in sustaining life and collectively commit to protecting this invaluable resource for the future generations! Let us ensure every child has safe water close to home, so they can focus on being children, chasing dreams, and building a brighter future.    💧 Water means hope. We were honored to participate in the Water, Peace, and Climate Security Conference during the State Visit of Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands to Kenya.    At the Climate Carousel, Their Majesties and Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Mutahi Kagwe visited our exhibition, where we showcased:   ✅ Sustainable harvesting of Gum & Raisins – supporting 5,000+ individuals  ✅ Empowering 350+ women through crafting enterprises like Beadwork ✅ Strengthening 3,000+ beekeepers & cooperatives   Through the IMARA Program, funded by Sida, we’re transforming ASAL communities across 9 counties with climate-smart solutions.    Beyond improving livelihoods, IMARA is restoring degraded lands through FMNR, sustainable land management, and green energy solutions while ensuring access to water for both domestic and agricultural use.   We are grateful to Sida, the Netherlands Embassy & all partners for championing climate resilience in vulnerable communities    #WaterPeaceSecurity #IMARAProgram #FMNR #PartnershipsForImpact

On the sidelines of the ongoing 5th Legislative Summit, we engaged with heads of Education and Agriculture committees from various county assemblies to discuss child well-being, #food, and #nutrition.    Led by our Director for Advocacy and Government Relations, Elijah Bonyo, the conversation explored ways to enhance partnerships between World Vision, county governments, and county assemblies to align and strengthen development projects for greater impact.   #TransformingLives #5thLegislativeSummit #WorldVisionKenya
