🤝 Development of Inclusive Dialogue Guidelines Workshop On 8 August 2024, the Ponlok Chomnes held the “Inclusive Dialogue Guidelines Workshop” with our Strategic Partners and GEDSI Consortium. This workshop focused on establishing ways of working and clarifying processes, understanding inclusive dialogue, and developing content. Ponlok Chomnes Partners play very significant roles in brainstorming ideas and drafting the outlines to develop inclusive dialogue guidelines collectively. 🤝 GEDSI Consortium Second Semi-Annual Meeting: Insights on lessons learned, challenges, improvements, and future plans On 29 July 2024, the Ponlok Chomnes held our second semi-annual meeting with our GEDSI Consortium Gender and Development for Cambodia, Cambodian Disabled People's Organisation, Women Peace Makers. This meeting focused on presenting key updates, reviewing achievements and lessons learned from the past six months, and planning for future improvements. 📚 Research Training: Refining research skills for developing inclusive research projects Colleagues from the Ponlok Chomnes Strategic Partner Institutions participated in a training course on "Research Design Through A Social Inclusion Lens" organised by DFAT's funded Australia Awards Cambodia. The eight-week, hybrid course implemented by the QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and Forum concluded on 15 July 2024. There were 27 participants, most of whom were the Australian Award Alumni. Ponlok Chomnes was delighted to engage with this program and expand its network with the Australia Awards Alumni. ⭐ The Ponlok Chomnes Program and its Strategic Partners will deliver research that is informed by inclusive approaches and is evidence-based to inform public policy decisions in Cambodia. Participatory action research approach: inclusive voices being integrated into the research processes My Village (MVi) អង្គការភូមិខ្ញុំ, one of the Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Partners, met with Samkouy and Koh Sneang commune councils on 24 July 2024 to review research tools for the upcoming field data collection for research on “Analysis of commune budget allocation for climate change and its impacts on marginalised communities: Case studies of commune administrations in Stung Treng Province. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to driving inclusive research. Utilising the participatory action research approach ensures diverse voices are incorporated throughout the research processes. 🌟 The Ponlok Chomnes Innovation Fund supports local initiatives by addressing specific local issues through collaboration between civil society organisations and local authorities.
