The Broadband Industry Group (BIG) a Working Group of TCCA, met for the 16th time since it was formed in 2017, and on this occasion in warm and sunny Budapest. This event was kindly hosted by the government operator and TCCA member Pro-M Zrt. the provider of Hungary's nationwide public safety communication services. Members of BIG represent leading vendors of 3GPP-compliant equipment, devices, and applications, working closely together with commercial and government service providers to deliver mission-critical mobile broadband solutions to public safety and other critical communication sectors. The topics discussed during this BIG meeting included QPP (Quality of Service, Priority and Pre-emption), Massive Mission-Critical Video, 5G Sidelink, Scoping of 6G, High Power User Equipment, Enhancing Band 68, and Cybersecurity. Each year, BIG appoints a new chair and vice-chair. For the 12-month term through November 2025, Guilherme Pizzato Nokia will serve as Chair of the Broadband Industry Group, while Jason Johur will assume the Vice-Chair role, having served as Chair for two years. Jason is also a Board member of TCCA, sponsored by Ericsson.
