Today Saint Lucia Cruise Port hosted a panel discussion in recognition of the upcoming International Women’s Day under the theme Accelerate Action!⚓️💜 Secondary school students within the Castries basin were invited to listen and speak to our phenomenal panelists which comprised of women in the marine and tourism industry. Today, Saint Lucia Cruise Port had the honor of launching the Saint Lucia Cruise Port Scholarship! 👩🎓⚓️ Funded by Global Ports Holding this scholarship will allow two (2) Saint Lucian students the opportunity to pursue undergraduate degrees at a university of their choice within the United States, Canada, United Kingdom or any University of the West Indies campus. 🛳🎓 Saint Lucia Cruise Port remains committed to the people of Saint Lucia by investing in our future leaders. The Saint Lucia Cruise Port Scholarship will be awarded to two aspiring students per annum and will include the payment of all tuition, air fare, accommodation, books and meal expenses for the duration of their undergraduate studies for a maximum of four years. On Friday, February 7, Port Soufriere continued to break records with the arrival of four vessels! 🛳️⚓️ Evrima from The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Royal Clipper from Star Clippers Emerald Sakara from Emerald Cruises and Sea Cloud Sea Cloud Cruises GmbH ⚓️🛳️ A total of 423 passengers and 499 crew members were greeted by the sweet sounds of a steel pan band as they visited our beautiful Sulphur City!

In the month of January, Saint Lucia welcomed four new vessels to the island. AIDAmar from AIDA Cruises, Odyssey of the Seas from Royal Caribbean International, Majestic Princess from Princess Cruises and Iona from P&O Cruises made their inaugural calls throughout the month. Representatives from our team, Racquel Preville, MA, Jahkim Daniel and SUSANNA ISAAC were part of the delegation who welcomed the captains and crews to our shores. With the arrival of these four vessels, Port Castries recorded an additional 14,875 passengers and 5,375 crew members to the island.

It was a pleasure welcoming two new ships to our beautiful Saint Lucia! 🛳️🇱🇨 Majestic Princess of Princess Cruises made her inaugural call yesterday, and Iona of P&O Cruises made her inaugural call today!
