A recent JLL report “Low carbon buildings create economic value,” focused on sustainability and economic value in energy-efficient buildings, reveals that at least 65% of office buildings in 14 cities worldwide are at risk of becoming obsolete by 2030 in failure to decarbonize. The report emphasizes the importance of improving three areas: electrification, energy efficiency, and clean energy. ☘️ Commenting on the report's findings, Donatas Karčiauskas, CEO of Exergio, stressed that this is no longer a trend but an essential action for sustainability and financial health. “In our case studies, focusing on office buildings, we’ve seen how energy-efficient tech translates into savings, not just in operational costs but also in asset value,” says Karčiauskas.
