À propos
Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN) is a non-profit association run by a small team of permanent staff and approximately 20 volunteers involved in several working groups (projects, awareness raising, communication / fundraising) or sitting on the Board of Directors. AEIN has been supporting development projects in India since 1967. In 1997, we extended our action to projects in Nepal. We are a recognized non-government organization operating under framework agreements with the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs, guaranteeing the co-financing of our development projects and of our awareness raising activities. Our goal is to empower the most vulnerable social groups in rural communities of India and Nepal so that they can assert their rights and become autonomous. All the initiatives supported by AEIN: - are developed and implemented on site by local organizations, with the participation of the beneficiaries every step of the way ; - are intended to help the most vulnerable members of society ; - benefit each targeted community as a whole ; - impact several aspects of people‘s lives, namely education and training, health, agriculture and ecology, and their rights. AEIN works very closely with its Indian and Nepalese partners to develop a detailed plan for every project we finance. In addition, AEIN collaborates with local facilitating agencies and development experts that recommend partners and monitor our projects, with the aim to achieve maximum impact. True solidarity between people cannot exist without the esteem of others and the willingness to learn from them. Through our activities in Luxembourg, we try to present the difference between our living conditions and the ones in India and in Nepal. Through concrete examples, we show the consequences of our way of living and of consuming on developing countries. Meanwhile, we look to convey a more balanced picture of Indian and Nepalese realities

Today, on the International Day of Education 2025, we celebrate this year’s theme: “AI and education: Preserving human agency in a world of automation” by showcasing inspiring initiatives that bring technology and learning together! At Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN), we are proud to work with our partner Association for Rural Development (ARD) Kavre in Nepal, where innovative tools like Magrid Learning Solution are making a difference. Magrid helps boost cognitive development, enhances focus and concentration in mathematical learning, and empowers students to take charge of their learning journey—all while blending technology with personalized education. Children are not just learning; they are thriving in fun and engaging ways! On the other hand, ARD Kavre is also bridging the digital divide by empowering rural women in Bethanchowk with digital literacy training. From learning to message, navigate social media safely, and monitor their children's online safety, to mastering mobile banking, these women are gaining vital skills for a digital world. Led by the inspiring facilitators of Digital Heroes, this initiative is part of the QEP Phase II project, supported by AEIN. It ensures that as the world moves forward with AI, no one is left behind. This International Day of Education, let’s reaffirm our commitment to inclusive, human-centered education. Whether it’s children discovering math through Magrid or rural women exploring technology for the first time, we believe education should empower, inspire, and uplift everyone. #EducationDay2025 #MagridLearning #DigitalLiteracy #SolidarityInAction #AEIN

Using Sports to End Violence Against Women and Children On December 28, 2024, Aide à l'Enfance de l'Inde et du Népal (AEIN) partnered with #Saathi, Kanchanpur District Football Association, and #ANFA for a football match in Kanchanpur, Nepal, as part of the GOAL program. Themed “Zero Tolerance Towards Gender-Based Violence Against Women and Girls,” the event showcased how sports can unite communities and inspire action. Players wore jerseys with the message: “Our Collective Goal: Ending Violence Against Women and Children.” Inaugurated by Ms. Bandana Rana, member of the United Nations' Committee of the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the event was more than just a match—it was part of Saathi’s ongoing efforts to use sports to promote gender equality and unity while raising awareness about GBV. 🏆 Winning teams received prizes, and awareness flyers were distributed to amplify the campaign’s impact. At AEIN, we remain committed to creating a just and equitable world through partnerships and innovative programs. #AEIN #SaathiNepal #FootballForACause #EndGBV #GenderEquality #UnityThroughSports#CEDAW
