🔋 We had the pleasure of attending the Direct Recycling Conference in Würzburg, hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC. Over the two days of insightful talks and networking, we connected with numerous experts in the field and academics. Direct Recycling has become an attractive method of extracting maximum value from spent batteries and production scrap, a battery's most nascent state, by rejuvenating material and re-using it directly in new production. This method promises to be more economically attractive and significantly more environmentally-friendly to recycle production scrap than more traditional recycling routes if it overcomes scaling challenges. It was great re-connecting with fellow Direct Recycling enthusiasts like Timon Elliger from PEM RWTH Aachen University and others! 🏛️ How reduction of bureaucracy can accelerate Luxembourg and DeepTech Startups Under the theme of scaling businesses, we had the opportunity to share more on Circu Li-ion’s participation in the prestigious European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) Accelerator at the House of Startups Luxembourg Annual Garden Party. In his presentation, Antoine Welter shared how the Accelerator helped the growth of Circu Li-ion over the years, sharing key learnings to encourage young startups to participate in European accelerators. With its central location in the heart of Europe, favorable regulatory framework, and focus on key sectors like DeepTech, FinTech, and Health, Luxembourg has all the ingredients to become an attractive hub for startups and investors.
