🌍 Proud of Our Portfolio Company, FabricAID 🌍 Amid the devastating violence in Lebanon, FabricAID Lebanon quickly adapted from upcycling clothing to producing critical emergency items for the 1.2 million displaced people. In just a few days, their team has: - Manufactured 290 mattresses, 180 pillows, and 1,100 blankets. - Increased capacity to 500 mattresses per day. - Distributed over 900 winterization packages to displaced families. Over the past week our team at FabricAID Lebanon switched from upcycling clothing items to manufacturing emergency support items (blankets, mattresses, pillows) for the 1,2 million people that have been displaced internally due to the extreme violence that have hit the country. Under the sound and threat of bombing and the 24-hour buzzing sound of heavy drones, the team has manufactured 290 mattresses, 180 pillows and 1100 blankets in the first few days after switching operations. Now, we have a capacity of manufacturing 500 mattresses per day. In addition, we have started preparing winterization packages containing a scarf, light jacket, heavy jacket, sweater, pants, long-sleeve shirt and t-shirt. We have distributed over 900 of these packages to Lebanese families that had to leave their clothing items behind when fleeing the violence.
