Meet Gage Quiett and Germán A. Ortiz, two veterans who have transitioned into civilian careers with our team. Gage served in the Marines before joining our dealership program. Now a technician at Ag Power in Missouri, he applies his problem-solving expertise he developed in the military to make sure our farmers face no downtime. Germán, a seasoned Air Force veteran, navigated his transition through the DoD-SkillBridge program, where he leveraged his finance skills. Today, he's not just thriving as a senior analyst at our Harvester Works factory but also guiding other veterans through their transitions. We're grateful for their service and willingness to share their stories: http://spr.ly/6040Sa388

I came across something recently that really stuck with me. Most firefighters in the U.S. are volunteers. That means these incredible individuals save lives and respond to emergencies, often in the middle of the night, driven not by a paycheck but by a genuine dedication to their community and neighbors. However, I also learned that many of these volunteers are aging, and there aren't enough new recruits to take their place. This could result in longer response times—sometimes over 30 minutes—which is a concern for all of us. Our customers, dealers, and employees rely on these volunteer first responders during emergencies. That's why I'm excited to share that John Deere has joined forces with the National Volunteer Fire Council, Hold Fast Features, and Vignette to create the documentary called 'Odd Hours, No Pay, Cool Hat.' The goal of the film is to highlight the incredible contributions of volunteer firefighters and inspire more people to step up and continue this vital service. I hope the film resonates with you as much as it does with me. You can watch it on public television now until October 29. It’s also available to rent or buy: https://lnkd.in/g3BG7ZdU

No driver? No problem. Our autonomous tractors do the work without needing a driver. They help farmers get the job done when there aren't enough helping hands during busy times. Plus, no downtime! These tractors can operate 24/7, while farmers monitor their activity from a mobile device. "There's something almost video game-ish about that," explained Jahmy Hindman. "It's the ability to see what your machine is doing in your field in real time."

I’m very happy to share that John Deere will further invest in our remanufacturing business and the local community in Strafford, Missouri. Expanding our current Core Center by 120,000 square feet will allow us to streamline our logistics and warehousing operations. This expansion wouldn’t be possible without our highly skilled employees who show up every day to serve our dealers and customers with high quality, low-cost remanufactured components. Construction is already underway on expanding the parking lot. The main building construction will begin next year. This picture says 1000 words! Looking forward to the year ahead! https://lnkd.in/gZGyWAyQ

Smart Apply® is like a pair of special 3D glasses for farmers that helps protect their trees and vines from bugs and diseases. It creates a 3D image of the crop and then tells the sprayer exactly where and how much treatment is needed in order for the plant to thrive. If it detects an area without plants, no problem! It simply instructs the sprayer to stop spraying, preventing product waste. And if it’s an older machine, that’s not an issue either. Smart Apply can be added to nearly any air blast sprayer, so farmers won't have to invest in new equipment to take advantage of the latest technology.
