Where do you find bold innovation that truly embodies the PeakBridge mission? At the heart of where the entire food industry meets: SIAL Paris 2024! 🇫🇷💡 As The Global Food Marketplace, SIAL is one of the most influential events where innovation and food tech converge to shape the future of our industry. Proud to have PeakBridge’s Founding General Partner, Nadav Berger, join two insightful discussions to talk about the Food-Health Revolution and DeepTech Investment. These conversations explored how our investments are transforming global healthcare through food innovations and supply chains with AI and biotech. 🚀 It was invaluable to be at SIAL alongside four of our portfolio companies—Standing Ovation, Tastewise, Rival Foods, and Hyperplan. Alon Chen from Tastewise joined the AI panel to explore AI's impact on food innovation, and Rival Foods showcased its newest plant-based meat and chicken with a unique texture that’s redefining consumer expectations. Being present with them highlights the strength of our collaborations and our collective drive to lead meaningful change. 🌱 It was also great to reconnect with Beatriz Jacoste Lozano from KM ZERO Food Innovation Hub, as we continue working together to drive impactful initiatives in the space. A special thank you to Ben Costantini from Sesamers for organizing the startups pavilion and bringing so many innovators together. 👏 We were thoroughly impressed by insights from our good friend and food trends expert, Malwine Steinbock from Food Republik : 🥩 Animal and Alternative Proteins - The growing demand for healthier and sustainable protein sources continues to drive innovation, from animal-free casein to novel plant-based proteins. Malwine noted a rise in collagen-rich products targeting specific demographics, like women’s health 🍬 Healthier Pleasures - With an innate sweet tooth, consumers are gravitating towards innovations that offer sweetness without the downsides. This includes products like sugar-reduction technologies enabling indulgences with fewer metabolic impacts 🥗 Snacks Replacing Meals - As “snackification” becomes a norm, there’s a push for snacks to be nutrient-dense, offering essential vitamins and minerals. Companies are innovating meal-sized snacks that align with this consumption pattern 🌍 Storytelling and Traceability - With 59% of consumers preferring fair-trade products, connecting consumers to the origins of their food is becoming essential. Malwine emphasized the importance of traceability and authentic narratives in gaining consumer trust 🧬 Staying Healthier Longer - An aging population is fueling the demand for functional foods rich in antioxidants, proteins, and new ingredients designed to support long-term health, particularly for women SIAL Paris 2024 was a powerful reminder of our mission at PeakBridge—bridging bold innovation with real-world needs. Let us know if you were there—we’d love to hear your thoughts! 📩✨ #foodtech #innovation #SIALParis2024

Funding Announcement! 🎉🇨🇭 We are excited to announce PeakBridge’s continued support in BE WTR's CHF 39 million Series C funding round. 🤝 As BE WTR’s first investor back in 2020, we’ve witnessed incredible milestones, including the official launch of their fully automated and circular BiG bottling plant in Paris, B-Corp certification, becoming the water sponsor for Bocuse d'Or, partnering with Accor, and leading the charge in sustainable water solutions.💼 This new investment will help BE WTR scale their circular bottling operations across Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Asia. 🌎 BE WTR's innovative circular bottling system is revolutionizing the industry—bottles are washed, refilled, and reused up to 200 times, drastically reducing waste and emissions. Delivered and collected by electric vehicles, this process ensures a minimal environmental footprint while promoting responsible water consumption. No plastic bottles, just beautifully crafted glass that’s cleaned, filled, and sealed for premium water delivery. ♻️ “Our investments focus on industries where sustainability, innovation, and impact meet. We are proud to renew our commitment to BE WTR, a company disrupting the bottled water industry and democratizing water consumption with a proven business model. By eliminating the need for bottled water and offering sustainable alternatives, BE WTR is setting new global benchmarks for environmental change. Their vision to protect the planet aligns perfectly with ours, and we are excited to support their continued success in transforming a category that needed disruption,” said Erich Sieber, Managing Partner at PeakBridge. At PeakBridge, our mission is to invest in companies that drive meaningful change. BE WTR is a shining example of impact-driven innovation, and together, we are reshaping industries, reducing environmental footprints, and scaling sustainable solutions globally. 🌱 Let’s continue making every drop count! 💧 And here’s a throwback to Mike Hecker’s BE WTR tasting at our 2021 PeakBridge summit in Greece! 📸 #sustainability #impactinvesting #watertech #circulareconomy Startup Nation Central StartLife Edmond de Rothschild The Good Food Institute Sweden Foodtech NC Food Innovation Lab KM ZERO Food Innovation Hub Edible Planet Ventures EIT Food Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Emilia Molin✨ Nadim El Khazen Convent Capital Brune Poirson

Proud moment as our Senior Analyst, Eva Anna Everloo, took part in the panel on “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓” at NutrEvent in France. 🇫🇷🎤 This conversation offered a clear lens on the forces shaping the future of food and nutrition. Key insights included: 🍽️ Consumer Priorities: In the world of alt proteins, taste still takes the lead. Sustainability is important but without great taste, it’s a tough sell. In contrast, consumer motivations for supplements are driven by health - clinical efficacy and delivery are non-negotiable. 🌱 GLP-1's Game-Changing Role: GLP-1 solutions are driving a shift towards nutrient-dense, smaller portions. Companies in the food system are responding fast, and for good reason. In the B2B space, we’re seeing innovative fibers emerge as natural alternatives. 📊 Personalization & Precision Nutrition: With personalized nutrition evolving, startups are capitalizing on precision health, but breaking down cost barriers and aligning with healthcare pathways is the key to unlocking wider access. As regulatory frameworks and scientific innovations evolve, the focus will continue shifting toward sustainable, health-driven solutions. Investors should keep a close eye on breakthroughs in functional foods and nutrition technologies that address global health challenges. 💡 At PeakBridge, we are focused on driving investments that align with these pivotal shifts—bridging the gap between science, consumer trends, and sustainability. 🙌 Thanks to the panel for such an engaging discussion Ariane Voyatzakis, Association Nationale des Industries Alimentaires (ANIA) Ivan Farneti Five Seasons Ventures Mark Durno Rockstart Myriam Rouis, CFA European Investment Bank (EIB) #investments #sustainability #foodtech
