We’re honoured to announce that SpaceRISE - a consortium composed of Eutelsat Group, Hispasat, SES, and other leading European space pioneers - has been awarded by the European Commission to build and operate IRIS², the EU's advanced multi-orbit satellite constellation! This is a significant milestone that will empower Europe with secure, resilient and autonomous communications infrastructure. By the early 2030s, #IRIS2 will bridge connectivity gaps, fortify crisis response and uphold Europe’s #DigitalSovereignty. With robust collaboration across public and private sectors, IRIS² sets a new standard in #SpaceTechnology for the benefit of all #EU Member States. The consortium looks forward to seeing this announcement come to fruition with the expected contract signature finalised over the next few months.
