The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, met in Shanghai with Lei Xu, President of SUNRISE Group, a global leader in the textile industry with operations in several Asian countries. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mohcine Jazouli, and Mr. Ali Seddiki, Director General of the Agence Marocaine de Développement des Investissements et des Exportations - AMDIE. During this meeting, the Head of Government assured the State’s support for the realization of a strategic investment project carried on by the SUNRISE Group in Morocco. This project will create 11,000 direct jobs within three years across several regions of the Kingdom through the implementation of industrial plants with fully integrated projects covering the entire value chain. This investment of SUNRISE Group will revitalize the national textile sector, which is fully integrated into global value chains, and will contribute to the government's strategy of prioritizing job creation. #InvestInMorocco Morocco Now

Le Ministère de l’Investissement, de la Convergence et de l’Evaluation des Politiques Publiques (MICEPP) est un département nouvellement institué. Le décret fixant ses attributions et son organisation a été adopté le 9 février 2022. Le MICEPP est chargé de l’élaboration et du suivi de la mise en œuvre de la politique de l’Etat dans les domaines de l’investissement, de l’amélioration du climat des affaires, de la convergence et de l’évaluation des politiques publiques.

Along with Mr. Mohcine Jazouli, Minister of Investment, Convergence and the Evaluation of Public Policies, I had the pleasure to participate today in the 8th Conference of Chinese 🇨🇳 and African Entrepreneurs 🌍 organized on the sidelines of #FOCAC, with a significant delegation of Moroccan business leaders from different sectors. During this conference, we met and exchanged with our Chinese counterparts about investment opportunities in Morocco 🇲🇦, in China, and across the African continent. China has become, over the past decade, a major economic player. Chinese companies are leaders in many sectors such as electronics, railways, automotive, technology and energy, among others. Morocco knows a highly positive economic dynamic, thanks to the progress achieved under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him. Moroccan companies are becoming increasingly competitive and excelling in various industrial fields, such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, textile and innovation. The Moroccan private sector has also heavily invested in Africa in strategic sectors making it the first African investor in west Africa, in line with the vision of His Majesty. Together, Moroccan and Chinese companies can create high-impact projects driving growth and employment, particularly with a focus on the supply chain and innovative markets. The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired a meeting of the steering committee for the "Morocco Offer" on green hydrogen, following the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The meeting focused on the rapid and efficient implementation of this initiative to capitalize on Morocco's potential in green hydrogen and align with the expectations of global investors in this promising sector. Less than six months after the circular from the Head of Government, Masen the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy has received nearly 40 project applications, demonstrating significant interest from national and international energy investors.
